When Ray Allen joined the Miami Heat, that team was a champion team that demolished Allen's team in conference finals, and had 2 straight finals appearance. On the other hand, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be good, but it's nothing like a 'guaranteed contender' the Heat was. The thing I don't understand is, why does Allen get so much flame with his probable future decision to join the Cavaliers, a team of uncertainty, while people were completely okay with him joining the Heat?

Not sure we are seen as a team "of uncertainty." Modesty is cool but we're gonna do ok.

I don't really see Allen getting flack over possibly joining the Cavs.

He actually got a ton of hate for bailing on the Celtics for less money. I hated him for it and I didn't even have a team involved.

I think it's cool that we are likely going to get him but let's be real here... dude is a carpet bagger. Doesn't mean I'm gonna hate it when he's raining 3s, but dude is a carpet bagger.

I dont see why people would , hes already considered a ring chaser

It's fine to chase rings if you're in the rotation and contributing, which Allen has done. Our franchise praised Richmond when he did it, and he was barely our 10th or 11th man in the rotation that year.

Does he? I haven't seen it. Probably because he hasn't joined the Cavs yet.

I haven't seen people rag on him for possibly joining Cleveland. They definitely did when he joined Miami, though. Which is deserved.

He has rings, he is at the end of his career. He should seek as many intriguing options as he could. I am saying that as someone who dislikes Lebron.

He's not getting flack, what are you even talking about? Joined Aug 2014 and a Miami transplant fan? Sigh... back to this again.

I always loved Ray Allen as a player and was legitimately pissed at him for going to the Heat. Him leaving Boston was kind of a mess.

But I have literally never seen him get flack for the potential Cavs move, until now.
