Why did Anthony Bennett put up such woeful stats with Cavs?

For a number 1 pick his stats were very underwhelming? Can he be a good player in this league? What is his ceiling?

well the very first stat you should be looking at is minutes per game. (while at it, look at Earl Clark's mpg at the same time).

& that, ladies & gentlemen, is Mike Brown.

Plus injuries but yeah this sums it up. Confidence is a major issue but he has the talent to be a good player. No idea on ceiling, too hard to gauge.

He had some sleeping condition that prevented him from getting a decent nights sleep as well.

I blame Mike brown honestly. The guy never got a chance to learn from his mistakes. Every time he messed up he got pulled, he had a bunch of dnps, and just no player development was evident there.

Now I'm not saying we held back the ROY, but we definitely did not do what was best for Bennett.

He has the chance to be a rich man's Brandon Bass imo, both offensively and defensively.

Kryie looks like at MVP an Fiba, on the Cavs under Brown he looked his career was going down hill. Brown was just horrible.

1) shoulder injury
2) missed summer league and offseason programs
3) limited during preseason
4) no opportunity to play himself into shape
5) mike brown and sporadic playing time/lack of defined role
6) pressure of being #1
7) sleep apnea

I think about 75% of it had to do with coaching, and the other 25% had to do with team chemistry, team leadership, previous injury, weight issues prior to season, lack of practice, etc.
