Game 3: Cavs at Trailblazers 10:00 EST, FSO NBATV

Post#1 » by King Stannis » Tue Nov 4, 2014 8:57 pm

"The Wine & Gold go out West for the first time this season for three games in four nights, beginning with the Portland Trail Blazers tonight at the Moda Center. Tipoff is at 10:00 p.m. ET."

Carried by Fox Sports Ohio and NBATV.

Three Keys to the Game

1. Aldridge vs. Love, Lillard vs. Irving
2. Transition defense (or defense in general)
3. LeBron

His Grace won't be in attendance despite my proximity to Portland.

Portland is due for a high scoring game. fortunately so are the Cavs. I think the Offense will look a bit crisper with a higher pace on this road trip

Who'd have thought that the Day's problem would be that they can't shoot or score.

The Cavs can't buy a foul call either

Offense looks so out of sync. Blatt needs to fix this.

Also they can't guard anyone.

After all the holding and grabbing that the Blazers have gottenaway with the refs are now making horrible tickytackcalls against them now

Well, I guess I'm glad that dog and pony show was blacked out.

It's as if they are Alzheimer's patients and completely forget how to play. Lack of effort again. They need to man up.

The cavs offense looks pretty bad. Waiters needs to be moved for some front court depth.

Front court depth by itself means nothing unless its talented and I'm not sure anyone talented is available.

Love played well (at least on offense) - he was pretty much the only bright spot.

The offense was flowing well in the 1st quarter, Lebron looked good initially, and then it all went downhill quickly after that.

We still look shaky on both sides of the ball at this point...need to start to see some progress, preferably on D because we can then at least push it and get out in transition to make it easier on our offense.

Let's hope Lebron can start to resemble the "old" Lebron here soon, he hasn't looked like himself all season thus far, really even in the CHI game his usual explosion wasn't there.

Agreed 100%. The two holes I see in the lineup would be front court depth and a better fitting shooting guard. Cavs can't have 3 ball dominant players in LB, Kyrie and Waiters and expect to be a great team. But you're right, the options seem to be limited.

You have to let LeBron play his game. IMO it's hard with Waiters and Kyrie there. Doesn't mean he can't adjust or w.e.

Lebron will fine. Irving needs to play pg and actually run an offense, Waiters needs to come off the bench. Love has been the bright spot so far.
Preemptively joining the Bucks and Twolves bandwagons.

We already have more front court depth than guard depth....
