Hey guys,
Serious question, why didn't lebron sign for less money so the cavs wouldn't have to cut Zeller and Karasev and give their draft pick?
it's a 1 year deal anyways.. this basicly cost us the bench.
I don't get it.
Doesn't he want to win it? this could have helped a ton.

those players were traded away before lebron signed... they were traded away before Gilbert even supposedly met up with him. At the time Zeller and Karasev's value wasn't much (neither was Jack's) and it still isn't...

The deal is 2 years.

He already took a pay cut in Miami, he was definitely not making what he was worth and he said regardless of the team he wanted to make max again, and so therefore the Cavs had to do so. Would it had been nice to have him go 'Dirk and take less? Of course, but the guy deserves what he got, so can't fault him.

Jack wanted out and the Cavs wanted him gone. He was causing problems. Unfortunately Gilbert forced Grant to sign him and he cost too much so the price tag was Zeller and Karasev.

Now, Zeller was also causing some problems believe it or not, and many in the front office wanted him gone too, but they would have kept him of they didn't have to pay to dump Jack.

Sergey was the guy the front office really didn't want to lose but I guess that's what happens when your GM isn't allowed to do his job.

Water under the bridge though. Lebron came back and order was restored.

Of those three players, Zeller showed the most promise. I'm surprised to learn that he was causing problems. He wasn't a good defender but neither were Hawes or TT.
