Dwight Powell

Sup,
I wonder why the Cavs had decided to trade Dwight Powell to Boston for nothing.
The guy is looking legit, he can play the PF/C, his stats in 22 minutes are 11 points, 8 rebounds , 1.5 assists and 0.7 BLKS.
his advanced stats are 22 per, OBPM 0.8, DBPM 2.6 BPM 3.6..
this looks like no fluke and this looks like another bad decision by the FO.
He could have helped us tremendously and made TT somewhat redundant.

???

Wasn't he part of the purge to create cap space for Lebron?

He's looking pretty good, but for one, we're still only just starting the season. And let's be honest, hindsight is 20/20. At the time he was a second round pick who wasn't that impressive in the summer league, who we traded away to make room for the best player on the planet. I'm not missing him that much due to that fact.

This team has no interest in youth. There are going to be quit a few what if's by the time the entire story is told, but if they manage to win a title no one will care.

Remove Love and somehow keep Wiggins and Powell and this team is even better than great.

To be fair, Powell was a 4 year player and I hoped we kept him when we got him. But like you said, this isn't gonna go down in history as some awful deal that the Cavs will regret forever.

Ofcourse not, but thing is Lebron is only interested in that 5 years window, he does not care further about the team or how it looks after that, lottery team or not.
I don't look at the past like I used to have but we had given way too much assets to win last year.

I disagree. We sacrificed youth for contending for a championship.

We have Kyrie, Love, and Thompson locked up for the next 5 years and Shumpert for 4. That's not a bad core sans LeBron. With Kyrie and Love we should be able to stay in the playoffs.
