Dude we need Delly. Joe Harris can always go play in Canton when the league's not looking.

True but Joe harris is too much of a pussy to do that. Wish we had Perkins as the 15th man still so he could come in and send olynk to the injured reserve

We've got Sasha Kaun. He's got that vibe about him.

My bad guys. With school - lots of Finals and term papers - and work and what not, I haven't been around to make game threads or even participate. I'll be around more.

Listen, I have looked at their game thread and their are saying some mean ass ****,
One of them actually wants KElly to dislocate Love's shoulder again, those guys are so obnoxious fans god damn.
Obviously the Cavs are not at full strength cause if they were it would probably be a blowout for the Cavs, but I still think we win this one easily if we play hard.
It looks like the Celtics fan forgot they got swept without breaking a sweat.

Yeah I tried to be nice and respectful, wishing them luck, but a lot of them seem to be just naturally hostile, ignorant, and angry, acting as if you should hold them in a higher regard because they've supported winning teams. Apparently they've repressed the memory of being swept by the Cavs in the playoffs just half a year ago. Or does the present not count?
As they continue to revel in the past, at least we can watch this team destroy the East - hopefully the Celtics tonight - and shut up the haters with a championship this season. Cleveland against the world. I'm feeling it this season.
Also while I would never wish injury on Kelly Olynyk, I hope we pound the Celtics so bad tonight, we make him cry. I really don't want to see any retaliation caused by feelings from last season. Just let your on-court play do the talking.

Dude, they are not easy to talk to at all, I'm gonna refrain from foul language.
I want Kyrie back though, I believe he is going to have a superstar impact this season.

What you were seeing was a like-for-like response to that one Cavs fan who came in trolling hard:
mjj0062 wrote:Kelly is a pussy who cost the cavs a title, I will never forgive him for that. Hope Delly takes out the dude's ankle
mjj0062 wrote:Brad Stevens is a punk ass b*tch too. Anybody who has to resort to that kind of play because u are getting embarassed shouldn't be allowed to coach again.
If he hadn't done that, you wouldn't have seen the responses you saw, I promise you. Our board, in my experience, has always been very welcoming of opposing fans. And no one from our board has come over here and behaved like that...
Anyway, I'm hoping for no retaliation or injuries on either side - like others have said, if you want to get back at us, just embarrass us on the floor. And if we don't want to get embarrassed, we just have to try to prevent that. You can send all the messages you want with your play, at the end of the day.
I won't say "good luck" cause I wouldn't mean it. So I'll guess I'll just say, hope it's a good game, and everyone gets out alive.

For the record the thing about hurting love again started before any "trolling" went on. I also hope for a good game of basketball and nothing more.

Curmudgeon doesn't speak for all of us, including myself (I have never and will never wish injury upon any player, nor will I take pleasure in anyone's injury who isn't named Kobe Bryant [I take great pleasure in his injuries, but would never wish it upon him]); that said, its our subforum and he can say whatever he wants about you guys. I was hoping to forcefully diffuse the situation with a silly gif/forceful jab, but things "escalated" I suppose. That said, I was pretty much just **** around the whole time. We love outside fans to come post in our subforum (even have several regulars), but have been historically trolled hard by Heat, Cavs and Raptors fans. When posters are rude like mjj0062 was, we get on them HARD (as in, soul-destroying essay-length posts hard). We didn't even do that this time around, haha, mostly just absurdist jabbing at you guys. Regardless, if anyone was offended, I apologize, I meant every word/gif I said and nothing more than that.
I say all of this just to let you guys know you're welcome to come post in our forum whenever, including tonight's gamethread, but our mods are pretty lenient (some of the absolute best mods on Realgm if not the best forum group mods) with trolls/trollish/aggressive posts from outside fanbases, but myself and several other members will rip you to shreds if you cross the line (as Cavs fans, I'm sure you understand that where that line lays, perhaps better than most). Most of us don't even report trolls or outside fans being rude, we just go at them and they leave. Remember, its the Celtics subforum and people will likely say stuff that pisses you off, I'm in the minority as someone who has no problem with Lebron post Miami (or pre Miami, I just hate him for what his Heat teams did to Kevin and Paul's last years, **** game 6, man), but most guys on my forum do, and will insult him and the Cavs. That's fine because it is not the GB, its a thread and forum meant for mostly Celtics fans. Why would they censor that stuff in such a thread?
If you're going to come post with us, be as polite as you can, veil your insults in compliments if you absolutely have to go at someone, be prepared to ignore the Cavs/Lebron hate, bring your best basketball knowledge, and if you truly feel one of us has crossed a line (keeping all of the above in mind), report or (best option) ignore them and interact with the many others not saying that stuff. But please do come post if you want to, you guys seem like an intelligent bunch. We aren't Xenophobic at all if you do the aforementioned, which most do.
Hope the game tonight is exciting and that the refs don't make it a slower/turned based contest as they are want to do sometimes. This is a game where they should just let us play, but who knows given the injury stuff (though Love sounds cool about things now, you never know what kind of stuff is possible with JR, Sully, Delly and Crowder going hard in a physical game) from our series last year. They may call a tight game because of scrappy-ness or worries about a fight/injuries.
I also cannot say good luck (in this game) and mean it, so I won't, but best of luck on the season. I hope you guys can pull of a Finals win somehow. It would be magical in a lot of ways. Unless we meet in the postseason that is, but I'm thinking we lose in the first round to someone else given how the seeds are shaping up. Even if we do meet up, we have no chance at beating you and will likely be swept again or lose in five, but I would have to go into homer mode.
I really hope you guys win it all, even if I'm not actively rooting for you to do so. Cheers.
YOU LOSE

Nice to see Love looking good. But we know he can do this early on. I'm interested to see if he can keep this up throughout the whole game.

I see I'm alone here.
Ugly, ugly game. We have a bunch of Tony Allens out there. No one can shoot. Love in particular needs to start sinking open threes.

You can catch other Cavs fans at the GB on the game thread if no one is here.
