How messed up is this Stat?

Post#1 » by mjj0062 » Sat Dec 26, 2015 12:17 pm

The Cavs attempted 17 more shots then Golden State yesterday and still managed to lose. I just don't remember that happening very often in all my years of watching hoops.

As David Blatt was quoted after the game "we got the shots we wanted, just couldn't knock them down". I'm actually not too pissed off about the loss. I would have liked for Jefferson/Mo Williams to get some burn because we couldn't score but really there are a lot of positives we can take from this loss.

Make a few of our wide open 3's and hit a few free throws and the cavs would have won yesterday

That comforts me. We'll probably never shoot this poorly again for the rest of the season. Absolutely nobody could hit anything from the outside, even if they were wide open shots. Also missed free throws and botched layups killed us. Maybe nervousness played a part? Yet we still had a chance to win this game. I'm really confident we'll win our next game against them in January without much of a problem. Honestly, the Spurs scare me far more than the Warriors do.
