Re: Game 4 Round 1: Cleveland Cavaliers (4) @ Indiana Pacers (5) - 8:30 PM EST
With Hill likely out or not capable of playing his game due to the back issue, I am curious what starting line up we will see going forward in this series.I liked it better when Lebron was playing off ball forcing double teams away from the ball creating easier ops for others whereas when he is the primary they are only leaving open the worst shooter and him having to beat them by himself...We need to get back to better ball movement and less iso so I expect Jose to start over Clarkson , but I am not confident that would be the correct move either given his weakness defensively against the Indiana starting bc. I would love to see Osman covering Bognannybitch in the sl and would have no problem rolling out Swish/Hood backcourt esp as Hood has played better defensively of late.
Swish,Hood,Osman, Lebron,Nance would be a formidable line up against them. You can sub in Jose, Green at the 2 ,Lebron,Love & Thompson , bringing Korver off the bench for Osman in the sl and Clarkson off the bench for Green sliding Green to the 3 when Lebron rest on the 2nd unit.

Lol, why is this the late game? Somebody failed; don't they know Cleveland people gotta wake up and work **** jobs in the morning, and they're gonna start this game a half-hour later than usual when it should be a 3PM Sunday game?
You're gonna showcase the Kyrie/Hayward-less Bucks visiting Drew Bledsoe and the Steph-less Warriors sweeping the Kawhi-less Spurs?
This is getting into off-topic territory (this Cavs board is dead anyway), but Toronto/Washington has been getting no love on the national scale, getting shoved to NBATV, when it's a pretty even matchup for a 1-8.
___
I actually dreamt about this game this morning, and the starting five was IT-LeBron-Love-TT and I believe Wade or Crowder, or maybe someone else; I believe Crowder came off the bench.
Even in my dream I was like "how tf did they get these guys back?
". I'm pretty sure Perk and Greg Oden
came off the bench, and Lue subbed in everyday people like some 5'9" guy with a baggy uniform and I think even a little girl.
I think that's a sign we're ****.
And the Indy fans brought it as usual.
___
If there isn't a significant lineup change (Calderon starting isn't significant), this could easily be another L; I'm still dying to see a conventional center (honestly TT) at this point so Love can slide back to the 4.

^ Jose is getting the start and Thompson might get some pt on the 2nd unit but you can forget about Love moving to the 4 on every set.
Dreams are like unemployed Fortune tellers ,don't bet on us losing again to the overconfident Indiana squad.

Cedi should really get some PT with Hill being out. It's actually hard to be uber physical with skinny guys because you end up knocking them to ground and getting called for the foul.

We need someone setting hard screens but the odds he plays 3 minutes and lays out the smack talking Lance or the nut tackling bognannybitch is more likely.

Booker is my bet. Dude seems confused about what sport he's playing.

Yeah he also has it coming.
Maybe perk can 2 at the same time so when he gets ejected it will have been worth it

So I'm not sure what Love's deal is but if his shot ain't falling I'd rather see TT out there for better defense at this point in the game

TT's actually a worse post defender against their big men.

why am I not surprised...Loves defense is always underated because of the ability to effect the shot before it goes up with superior bbiq but if the more explosive Thompson or Nance are in the post They "should"jbk1234 wrote:Stillwater wrote:So I'm not sure what Love's deal is but if his shot ain't falling I'd rather see TT out there for better defense at this point in the game

Do a better job defending Sabonis and Turner.
We need Love to make his shots so lesser offensive players don't become reasonable better rotation options.

Nance is obviously the best all around defender of the three. That's really the problem TT is having getting on the court.

Nance is I agree, but also believe Thompson will step up now that it matters. Unless Nance plays the entire game I think Thompson has to play more than 7 minutes yes he has become lazy in the regular season like most overpaid role players but when called apon can get it done imo

I think the 2015 Finals were perfect for TT because Green isn't really a post threat and the Warriors made the decision to go small. But a big part of basketball is match ups and TT just doesn't match up well against skilled big men or guys who are a lot taller than him.

Oh my goodness Indiana fouls, every time on defense.
They have reached Warrior status with their "physicality" and reaching on defense. Mind boggling to me how anyone - even Pacers fans - can watch these games and think they are getting the short end of the stick.
