vote on a few options for what you think Cavs might do in the first half of the season

I expect we will hover around .500. Just getting used to playing with our new roster I would expect us to be better in the second half.

My biggest fear for the Cavs is Lue overplaying the Vets because they have played together longer and have better chemistry.
I would much rather see us run the **** out of everyone...
remember the first 2 games after the dl trade? we looked phenom and unbeatable...yet then it went back to the crawling iso garbage. that requires the Goat.
In alot of ways I think the majority of players on this roster are hungry and will be set free if Lue lets them and could very easily be better in that element than under a Lebron ball scenario.
It's all on Lue at this point...we could be a top 4 team or a bottom 4 team all based on his sets.

Yeah, I'm at .500. I don't really see us going full development. In truth, we have no choice but to play young guys pretty big minutes. I expect Sexton to start but if he's not ready, he's not ready. He'll get all the backup minutes ahead of Homeless Kyrie. I expect Cedi and/or Hood to start. If Hood loses, or doesn't get, a starting position because of his defensive effort, that's on Hood. Nance may end up starting, but if not, he'll be the first big off the bench.
Obviously, if Love goes down with any type of serious injury, then we don't have enough offensive firepower to be even an average team. Even if you get a bunch of guys in double figures, it's hard to win with a leading scorer averaging like 14 ppgs. Love getting hurt could change the entire outlook for the season.

I expect Sexton should start by December. I think he may be ready enough now, but Lue opts for the veterans Hill to start the season anyway and let Sexton ease into the roll on the 2nd unit with what will be the eventual starting duo of Sexton and Osman locked in after the trade dl if not sooner.
Yeah I think Hood could get the starting job at off guard or sf to start the season for his offense esp if Smith is regressing even further with Hood as the secondary option behind Love and I would expect Osman should get mixed minutes at both the 2 & 3 as the season rolls depending on his shot improvement maybe even some at the 4 for defensive purposes & early on as the first forward off the bench until his role is more defined or kept as the 6th man.

After further analysis of this roster I think we can swap each of these pairs and mesh well with anyone on the floor
Sexton/JC/,Smith/Nwaba,Osman/Hood,Love/Nance,TT/Zizic with Hill as the wildcard swap for any of Sexton,JC,Nwaba or Smith depending on match ups. & Dekker as the forward swap between 3 or the 4 spots.
Korver used as a 4th quarter game changer , Frye as a 4/5 sub but in ltd minutes mostly if Guards can't get clean driving lanes with Nance/Zizic front court.
If there are in injuries or rest days I guess players like Taylor Preston & Holland could earn some pt... I will add that I think Holland could very easily break into the rotation if Hood is stinking it up

The team is going to stun the league as a top 3 team in the League not just the East in the first half of the season...This pace and the system is perfect for these players. Yeah and I just slept at a Holiday Inn express.
I think this pace is going to make these players more successful than they would have been , and I do honestly believe we have something here to get excited about. I give us a high % odds of being a top 5 team in the East all season.
We do need to be more disciplined defensively esp on switches in the paint etc but I'm not concerned at all with our ability to score on anybody.
