Cavs have released 4 tc invites. still holding onto Bolden and Martin ( neither of which are worth keeping imo )
I could live with Bolden on a 2-way and find a 3/4 defender for the 14th spot that gets released from another roster...
here is the full story:
https://www.cleveland.com/cavs/2019/10/cleveland-cavaliers-release-sindarius-thornwell-timothe-luwawu-cabarrot-jp-macura-and-daniel-hamilton-sources-say.htmlI'd like to see a guy like Dedric Lawson ,Amida Brimah or Jordon Caroline get some consideration but would rather they grabbed Aric Holman, cut both Bolden and Martin and renegotiated a deal with Luwawu-Cabarrot for the 14th spot.

Honestly, Wade is the only guy who has shown he has even the potential to become a serviceable (6-10) NBA backup IMO. It sucks too because when you read other boards, e.g. the Celtics, Pistons and Bucks, there's a legitimate battle over that 15th spot and some decent prospects are going to be left off an NBA roster. That's where I might I look. For example, on the Piston's forum they'e talking about either Christian Wood or Thon Maker getting cut.

At least our F.O. was smart enough to realize the back end of our roster was garbage.

Shittu is another name to watch . they didn't have a legit pg at vandy once Garland went down and that hurt his stock immensely. He is pretty raw though as far as offensive footwork so who knows if its worth a 2-way with so many other young players already on the roster but his ability to switch defensively and rim protect is probably worth the flier.

https://cavaliersnation.com/2019/10/19/cavs-officially-sign-tyler-cook-two-way-deal/So Beilein pushed for this signing (Cook) and this clip should give some insight as to why:

Cavs getting it done by also grabbing Alfonso McKinnie off waivers from GSW
I really like Cook and McKinnie much better for fit than players they waived from tc , so kudos to them imo

He's too undersized to get away with that post game in the NBA. He'll be getting blocked, not fouled on those moves. He's going to have to play combo forward and drive more from the perimeter. On the plus side, he looks more athletic than the guys we cut.

I see an quick twitch athletic 3/4 defender with small ball 4 offense footwork and sf handles

I just noticed Cook also has some massive mitts pushing Kawhi level which should be useful without question.

I was glad to see Wade get the second two-way deal. If they had given it to Bolden, I would've been concerned.

I agree Wade is a high IQ prospect that was overlooked and undrafted due to injury history more than anything and he plays with a fire that will likely lead to further injury set backs... but if he can stay healthy I see him at minimum as a first big off the bench type long term
