I just hope the Cavs can keep it reasonably close tonight. KPJ suspension was unexpected, he didnt get a T or get thrown out during the game, but it is pretty early in his career to get suspended. I hope he learned something from this.

Our frontcourt should feast tonight.

I can handle not being as good as the other team. I can't accept playing dumb or playing without effort on the defensive end.

If they're going to double Love in the post, that means someone is unguarded. Run the offense out of the double team.

You guys going to hang onto TT? I wish we could match his salary to make a deal. He seems highly motivated this year to get paid.

Kevin Love needs to get his butt down to the post against this team.

If the Celtics are going to try to check Love with Smart in the post, just clear out and throw it down there every play. TT can set picks on the perimeter.

Love struggled to move Smart and the C's were able to send help when he tried to get around him. We had better luck letting Kevin establish position first, then passing him the ball. At least we made that adjustment even if we couldn't space the floor properly or generate anything from the double teams.

I don't understand how we don't have go to plays out of a Love double team after Kevin has been here for five seasons. It's absurd. Love was 6-9 from non three point range. He was 1-5 from three point range. He should've gotten far more touches in the post with Smart on him.

I understand it ... we keep throwing seasons away not practicing anything or providing any coaching to these guys. With Beilein coming in, I think a lot of heads are spinning trying to follow what they're supposed to be doing, and they just aren't ready to exploit a situation like this from the get go.

It'd certainly help if we can figure out how to space the floor with legit shooting threats.

Plus frankly Smart deserves credit - he will man up on anyone in the league.

On the flip side, I'm at least enthused that we're able to make an entry pass to Kevin. I still remember when we signed Andrew Bynum, and it was like nobody on the team had ever posted a big in their life. And we did adjust on-the-fly and recognized that Kevin needed to establish himself closer to the hoop and we needed to get him the ball there.
