apparently Collins is cleared to return from the dope suspension so hopefully Nance can play...but I get the feeling Collins wont be the same player 1st game back anyway maybe never if the doping was going on for a long time.
most teams have either decided to clamp down on other hawks letting Trae try to beat them or hes gotten ref bailouts and it continues to pile up inflated stats for him and losses as well.
Personally I hope CLE young guards try too hard to shut his ass down and ATL wins the game but without him getting his usual if for no other reason they are worse by record and we need every % we can get in the McDaniels,Wiseman,Stewart etc sweepstakes

I have been enjoying the effort the last few games. Probably due to playing teams much closer to their level. Both Garland and Sexton played well, albeit against a weak defensive team without a decided size advantage. Still, its good to get a few wins.

Agreed. Its nice to not have to play the Celtics, Heat and 76ers every single night and play a team in the same situation as your team is. It was very encouraging to see how all 3 young guys sort of took control of the game and showed out.

Sexton--- great game and you can see hes morphing into more of a defined role of 'this is who I am'. Defense improving but will struggle as long as we play him at the 2 guard. Seems to really have mastered the floater. He is starting to actually look for the pass more often when he drives but you can tell its still forced and not natural to him. Its almost like he starts attacking and remembers mid-drive that he has to pass so he stops and looks around. Herky jerky like. Hopefully we improves there to be more of a drive and kick PG.

Garland---flashed again by showing all of the tricks in the bag. Shooting, step backs, dribble drive. Really starting to settle in as a shooter but can still grow to help his consistency. Turnovers seem to be a noticable issue but I assume that can be fixed. He knows to pass and sees really well with vision but sometimes the passes get sloppy and he turns it over by trying to force too tight of a pass.

Porter Jr--- Still cant believe how good he is defensively. I never really expected that but his length and willingness to defend is awesome. Honestly think he our 2nd best defender behind Henson. Like Garland, he flashes and you can see what he *could* become with more time in the league and the proper drive to be great. Cant stop thinking about Harden when he does all of his hesitation dribble moves. Sometimes it looks like the game moves a bit too fast and he is a step slower than everyone else, but that might just be a product of being a rookie in the NBA.

The Hawks lost their C's but they have a plethora of 6'8" wings they cycle around Trae plus Collins which would be making a lot of Cavs fans jealous if it was clicking. So mostly I think this was more a case of crappy defense letting us execute. Our young guys are getting better at finishing in traffic.

Sexton and KPJ look really good for you guys.

I've been thinking that your team could use a 'big' PG to offset the undersized starting backcourt. Hopefully Exum can fill that role for you.

I look forward to the rematch in Atlanta.
