Well, Sexton had 20 FGAs on the books and went to the line 15 times on top of that (add 6 TOs in terms of usage). John Wall had 24 FGAs and went to the line 12 times on top of that (add 3 TOs in terms of usage). It was 40 minutes of those two driving to the rim and hoping to get a soft foul call. Now it worked, and with Wood out the Rockets have no answer in terms of rim protection, so good on Sexton. But from a fan perspective, it's ugly basketball, and with a different officiating crew, that stat line is going to look very different.

I'm sure it won't surprise Stillwater, but I thought the game was pretty ugly too; even though the Cavs had a lead through most of it. It didn't help that it started late.

If you're going to pick apart Sexton, what do you have to say about Garland who was 5/13 went to the line 4 times and had 5 TOs in 12 less minutes of play. If Sexton wasn't doing what he was doing no one else would've and we would've been blown out.

I mean the two are related. You could predict what kind of game it was going to be the first quarter. Wall and Sexton were going to go at each other all game long.
They didn't have Wood. We had Allen. You could see how that battle was going to end shortly after it began. It was fine for that game. It's the next game you have to worry about when it's Sabonis and Turner at the rim and those soft calls aren't coming.

The game we'll be referring to as the Dean Wade break out game?![]()
Where's the bandwagon emoji?

I suspect that like Dotson, the clock is about to strike midnight with Wade. Maybe he can drag Sabonis out of the paint on offense and guard Turner some, but I think Wade is almost exclusively a small ball 4.
