The man spanned generations and each has their own found memories but mine involve listening to him call the Daughterty/Nance/Price playoff games. My father's involved the Miracle at Richfield. The younger generations involved LBJ obviously.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I cried when I read he passed yesterday.
I never would have become a basketball or sports fan at all if it weren't for Joe Tait.

I dont know much about him outside of radio but he strikes me as the type of guy that would give his coat to a bum in an ally and never tell a soul he did it which explains even more why he will be so missed.

Joe always announced the games with so much passion, it was funny to find out he didn't actually like the NBA very much.

The Cavs will always be moving left to right across my radio dial thanks to Joe, though.
