I wonder how many Cavs investors miss Clarkson doing his thing...he has been the unsung hero for the Jazz and still gets little respect for what he able to do on a nightly basis.

This game is kind of hilarious.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

After 3 quarters, the Cavs are down 30-26 in the paint, and almost 40 points overall.

How does a back up big who rarely did so on any other roster manage to lead the team w/ 7 dimes? Didnt watch at all but Hartenstein used to be a highly touted recruit long before he fell to where he was drafted 43rd maybe they will get the player he was supposed to become instead of the player that has been seen in recent seasons ? who knows

7 assists matches the total from Sexland but I'm sure we'll make him drink our dumb-juice in order to bring that number down. His foul rate didn't disappoint either. If IH made just one more 3pter, he would have matched their total in that area too.

IH's 3pter was his first of the season. He didn't even attempt one with Denver.

The Cavs need to be asking themselves how can they go from where they are now to where Utah is now.

Why can't Allen be our Gobert, Sexton be our Mitchell, Garland be our Conley, Windler by our Bogdanovic, Wade be our Ingles, Nance Jr be our Favors?

Heck, maybe by the time they all figure out how to win, perhaps Clarkson could be our Clarkson again ... and then we've still got Love, Okoro, and future picks/deals to figure out what to do with.

And as crazy as that sounds ... if you dial back the Jazz players to earlier in their career, it's not like they were outperforming the Cavs players I compared them to. It's just they've figured out over the years how to get the most out of their abilities and compliment each other within their systems.

The main difference as I see it, is the Jazz built on winning. The haven't won less than 38 games since Quinn Snyder took over, and their backbone was their defense, but they didn't let that stop them from becoming a good 3pt shooting team and developing their offense over the years. They also didn't try to incorporate multiple first and second year players all at once.

It all depends how long it's going to take for the Cavs to start turning themselves around, but I think the Jazz also tell us that Larry Nance shouldn't be too old to contribute, and we should try to mix in some useful vets in to our roster and just not guys we acquired as salary filler.

Cavs were 7/34 from three point range.
