But we're probably not making a move, otherwise we would have already cleaned house and hired a new GM and coach with short resumes. No sense waiting to see who other teams will let go when you have no interest in paying for experience.
You would lol [THIS RIGHT HERE IS INAPPROPRIATE]
after the Luka trade everything he did was garbage. KP is broken, they gave up Barnes for cap space then didn't use it, they got Reddick and never played him in the playoffs, they used 4 2nds to get and then get rid of Delon Wright and like a fool traded Curry for Richardson and a meh 2nd.
The Mavs have no way to build through the draft not that will help them while Luka is there.
Carlisle didn't get fired he chose to leave too so that makes me not want him. He clearly does not want a challenge

Nice. Someone must have recognized the minutes and effort he was putting in on defense all year.

3rd Pick in the 2021 Draft.......if Cunningham and Mobley go 1 and 2..........who do the Cavs select..........I say Jalen Suggs is the next best player.

Can’t really pick Suggs without moving one of the other guards on the roster, but that’s very much on the table!

They'll take Green unless someone backs up the truck with an offer for Suggs.Wisedude wrote:3rd Pick in the 2021 Draft.......if Cunningham and Mobley go 1 and 2..........who do the Cavs select..........I say Jalen Suggs is the next best player.

Re: 2021 off season thread
Curious what y’all think is required to jump into the #3 spot?
Does Warriors #7, #14, 2022 1st move the needle?
As a warriors fan I don’t think we have the roster spots for multiple rookies, but would love to move up to take Green or Suggs (preferably Green).

Wiseman would have to be the swap with 3 for 7 otherwise cavs would not trade out of top 5 imo

Unfortunately can’t help with a younger healthier Klay (but you can snag Kispert with the 14 or Moody with the 7).
I would do 7, 14, wiseman for 3 and Nance. I know y’all love Nance but it’s not like he fits the rebuilding timeline anyways.

Allen is a lot better at basketball right now than Wiseman. I wouldn't trade Nance for Wiseman. So this is 7 and 14 for 3 which is a really hard pass.

I would say no. But for argument's sake, let's say the F.O. isn't sold on any of the top 3 guys as a franchise player, my counter would be 5, 8, and Okeke. Irl, I think the most likely outcomes are the Cavs keep the pick, or trade it in a package for an all star caliber wing.

Garland's been invited to join the select team for Team USA. https://www.cleveland.com/cavs/2021/06/darius-garland-invited-to-join-team-usa-select-team.html

So, who are they going to tell Koby to draft?
Has Suggs played in U17/etc?
His personality sounds like it might be a fit for Koby ...

What’s the value difference between Kevin Love and Andrew Wiggins?

Maybe some seconds or maybe even a late 1st, argued between which way they should go. That's not counting the argument about lack of fit for teams involved etc.

Re: 2021 off season thread
I just saw an idea of Wiggins Simmons swap and GSW seems like the one team where Simmons could thrive as a non shooting big.
Outside that or the Wolves talking PHI into taking Dlo or something, I cannot see Simmons getting traded with the contract he has after his fear of dunking display and colossal meltdown
