A serious test for the Lauri at SF experiment.

I'm currently watching one of my Rubidows... the TimberTroll ones.
I'll join when game starts here.
No prophecies.
I think we have a fair chance to win 'cause Clips rely a lot on very simple set plays and leave most of the game to PGeorge personal inspiration (or worse... RJax).
Bledsoe is growing as a PG by pure osmosis and experience but he cannot run the team.
They play Zubac or smalldeath and they aren't even moving Morris to the C yet (Batum does it instead).
If we can force PGeorge to pass the ball (or even better... annoy him) I think we are better no matter which of our players they manage to lock down.
We just need to be tough at defense and pray for our bipolar shooters get some hot hand.

What an amazing game TimberTrolls-Baratheons
The funniest game I've seen this Late Pre Season. MIN put enormous attitude, hustle and toughness.
They were a bit brainless at times but their energy made up for aything.
If we can play with half that intensity will be a W.

1st half even better than expected.
A bit beheaded-chicken offensive game but tons of energy and attitude.
Sextonto feels it. Garlandas less impactful but doing fine.
One problem I see about this roster: If Jarret Allen goes to the bench, we can't guard our paint.
Mueble, Mari Karmen and Amor are tall but they just can't anchor the team on defense.
At least, they try hard to attack the rebound both sides, they don't give up on the second chances and that sorta makes up for it.
La Mar looks a kinda vet, overweighted and less talented version of Kokoro.
He did a notorious dirty job type of game and has been a true help to organize the defense making the calls and being so vocal as our Bigs should be (they aren't... I'll probably will write a brick about that sooner or later).

Our defense might actually be pretty good. The Nuggets missed a lot of shots, but we're contesting the Clips and grinding out enough points on offense.
Interesting stat ... the Cavs are doing real well in AST% this season. Every year they talk about moving the ball, but they've actually been doing it so far this season.

I'm liking Sextonto... 0% brain activity, 120% energy, implication, attitude and hustle.
I could buy it.

This is not the dumpster fire I was expecting. I’m really in on Rubio especially.

Also this 3 Guard set is interesting if it won’t get killed on D. But seems like Mobley is already great at covering mistakes.

Mobley is amazing on D ... but we're in twilight zone territory. Our offense has been trash, we're turning the ball over ... and we're winning? If this keeps up the league is going to have to change the rules again. Like the Clippers announcers said this was reminiscent of an early 2000s Pistons/Pacers game.
I can't believe two playoff teams just threw in the towel and pulled their starters.
An amazing start to a west coast trip that was supposed to end with coaches and GM's getting fired ... might not be ours...

Its known as the „Rubio effect“ wherever he goes. Boxscore doesnt show it so he gets no respect but he turned more than one franchise around in the right direction.

I’m just happy to be entertained and not already looking forward to college basketball with an eye on the draft.
I’m under no illusions that this season will be good; but, it’d be nice to pick outside of the top-5 again.

For this team in particular he gives them confidence they can close ... he's had his share of turnovers and missed shots but it's nice having someone who knows what he's doing behind the wheel and a competent backup to boot.

Stevens will have to shoot better than 1-6, but he clearly had a positive impact on the game last night. Also seems like we've run the gamut from great Cedi to trash Cedi in just 5 games. Wouldn't mind if he took a long seat on the bench and was replaced by Stevens or Windler or DWade

1 AST and 5 TO's seems like a major red flag ratio to me.
Even if you score a lot, that doesn't compensate. They probably won't play this good of a D in the long run.

Well if we can continue to fluster teams with our defensive approach, I suppose Stevens has a role. We basically didn't have to deal with whether Lauri could defend PG13 because we didn't shove him out on that island and strand him.
I would like to see more Windler and Wade.

Too many turnovers across the board, but we did need Collin's scoring in this one and his effort level / aggressiveness was terrific.

Felt like several of those turnovers were bad passes trying to set up alley oops. At some point those will get dunked.

SG 37:30 on the court and he ends up with 1 AST. Sounds a pretty poor stat even if there wouldn't have been any TO's.
Although when you see that the whole team ended up with 12 ASTs so that's definitely worrysome. Well, to each his own I guess.
