No DG, but lets see if we can eek it out against the Bulls.

They don't have LaVine or Ball so we should be okay.

Okoro and LeVert should not be on the court with our two big men. The spacing is non-existent.

The first play, Okoro needed to take the shot rather than driving in. Other than that, I feel like the spacing hasn’t been a problem since the Cavs had been playing around Mobley and Allen elbow touches. It’s been a little awkward but seems to be communication over spacing.
But it will probably be a bit ugly with this line-up

Great play to get Love a semi-open three with a PNR on one side and an off ball pick and roll on the weak side. Lead to a minute and a half of great Love play on offense.
Also 2/2 RLo hooks.

Mitchell cannot miss. And he’s generating great shots for others while getting his.

I hate it when officials start with phantom fouls because one team is up big.

The Caruso one was pretty egregious

Hot take: I really like Mitchell. His offense has been gorgeous and I am loving his defense so far especially off-ball.

Kind of amazing that this game, and the Raptors game, are officiated in the same league.

Okoro will not shoot his threes

It’s too bad too. He’s allowed to miss, but gotta take them. Otherwise, Dylan Windler…

I know JBB prioritizes defense, but you really can't have Okoro, LeVert, Mobley, and Allen on the court at the same time.

Didn't get to watch it but looked like a thorough beat down of the Bulls.

It ended up working, primarily because LeVert was taking and making his catch and shoots threes. Okoro on the other hand needs to at least shoot them. Had two turnovers after he decided not to take the three today. He obviously doesn’t need to take all of them, but he needs to mix it up.
Surprised Dean Wade didn’t get any PT, but it ended up not mattering. Cedi had a pretty good game on both ends.

I suspect, but don't know, that Mitchell kind of needs LeVert as a secondary ball handler, but there's no good reason why Wade doesn't start instead of Okoro, and there's no sane reason for Wade not to get onto the court until garbage time. I mean all of Okoro, Allen, and Mobley would be greatly aided by having another spacer on the floor.

Yeah, really kept us from winning by 40...

I mean our bench, or more specifically, K. Love won that game for us. But Cedi and Love shooting from range like that isn't scalable. I know LeVert going 3 for 4 from 3 isn't something you want to bank on (his FG% from the rest of the floor was awful). The Bulls basically played a box and one against that starting unit and it took a Herculean performance from Mitchell just to get points out of the entire starting unit.
Allen and Mobley are legitimate two-way players but they need room to operate. You let the other team off the hook when you allow them stack 4 defenders in the paint.

It's not even an issue since Garland is coming back to the starting lineup when he gets healthy, but you can survive with bad spacing. It's really not the end of the world, and taking shooting away from the bench might make it much less effective-- the bench needs great spacing because the defense is bound to struggle.
The most positive thing was 32 assists despite DG being out. But all the starters save for Okoro had a positive +/- out there. And that's more on Okoro overall. He's been struggling offensively in every lineup so far.
