Is ol' Glenn Anton coaching the Bucks tonight?

There was going to be a game where we played a good team who was also a good defensive team where we were going to see how far ball and player movement alone would take us.

Very very disappointing half. Finally get to play a good team after that cupcake schedule and there is a massive drop-off. Immediately went back to old habits. Unforced turnovers. Stagnant Passive play on offense. Overplaying on defense. Hope we see life 2nd half

Awful game. So all this chatter about do we play better without Garbley looks silly in hindsight cupcake schedule streak means nothing if they don't bounce back friday

Lots of ticky-tack calls down the stretch... whereas on the other end we are getting displaced anytime we touch the paint and nary a whistle

I wish we could translate this fight in the first quarter against a team like this. lt's only when they're trying to claw their way back that they start scrapping and attacking and taking care of the ball. Its like a focus problem

I mean the game was 32-28 at the end of the first.
I thought it was a valiant effort with a handful of defensive mistakes trying to account for Giannis. Its hard to guard Giannis missing two big men. I actually think Damian Jones played fairly well in his minutes, but we we are currently just lacking size so our gameplan was to shrink the paint and that relied on some poor shooting luck from the Bucks and perfect rotations off the help. Aaaand it was mixed bag on both ends

I watched a clip, I'm like hmmmm that looks like Joe Prunty lol wouldn't be his first time being the head coach for the Bucks.

35/18/10 from Giannis, oof. This postseason is gonna be short for the Cavs again, huh? lol

This was a game where not having Mobley was very apparent. Allen drew the assignment against Giannis most of the night and couldn't stay with him. Nobody else had the height to challenge at the rim as a helper.

I agree the biggest disappointment was not sticking with the motion on offense when things got a little hard. Don tried to hero ball it, but just too hard for us to stop Giannis even if the refs didn't let him elbow defenders out of his way. Yeah, we need Evan and why not try Dean?
I thought Jones looked alright, but was happy to see JBB already experimenting with Niang at C even with Lopez in the game. It just doesn't matter if we don't move the ball better.
There are supposed to be limits on how good a team can play without two key players, its more a test of determination and willingness to stick with what had been working when things get tough and shots aren't falling. The determination was good, the stick to, not so much.
We should have known the key was to stretch the Bucks defenders past their primary reads and see if they'd suddenly cleaned things up with Griffin out.
I haven't looked at a box yet, but I have a feeling I'm not going to like some of the minutes. JBB shouldn't be afraid to set CPJ lose and see if he can't shake things up especially when Caris isn't working.

We missed Garland's offense and Mobley's defense this game (we could've used some of TT's physicality as well). Garland is a surgeon against drop coverage centers and Mobley is one of the few players capable of frustrating Giannis.
This was a good example of the difference between being good enough to get to the playoffs, and good enough to win once you're there.
