Merrill gets the start with Strus, Wade, Okoro, and LeVert out.

Only rotation pieces off the bench are TJ and Niang. CPJ will get spot minutes. I would think at least 1 more guy is gonna have to get some burn, if not 2.

Its a good loss, we showed determination and grit. Also Donovan is HIM, he is the best player for me between these two teams, when it comes to that killer instinct. Darius had a poopoo game, he will bounce back, we were without 4 key rotation pieces, they made more threes, and it still went down to the wire at their home. Im good.

Lets start another streak tomorrow! Lets whip these guys at home next week!

Uhhhhgggg with the moral victories. A loss is a loss. We battled for sure not taking that away

but you cant get into what ifs. We weren't healthy enough and we weren't good enough just like in the playoffs bottom line.

We might beat anybody else in the east but I cannot stand how Garland is hunted vs Tatum and Brown

Teams lose games lol. Especially a one-off.

Celts Cavs play two Sundays from now and we hopefully will be healthier.

Lots of good stuff to takeaway from this. We had to play three guards the whole night so someone was always going to get hunted.

Ok? Am aware that one loss doesn't tank the season. But in this moment Boston is better until proven otherwise.

Health isn't just bad luck BTW. If you are always half strength when it counts you cant really play that injury card

I mean one or more of Strus, LeVert, Okoro, or Wade would've played if it was the playoffs. It's November.

And one or more of Mobley Allen Garland Mitchell might be hurt. It's a real possibility I'm just saying got to stop with the moral victories it's not living in reality. Love our start but I think this was Back to Reality we're currently not trending as better than the world champs

Three thoughts: Garland needs to watch the tape on this one. The Celtics are really good at baiting him. What starts of looking like an open lane quickly collapses with backside pursuit. D. White is particularly good at getting him to take tough shots. Also, they're not calling fouls on Horford. Adjust accordingly.

2) Allen this is why people call you soft. You don't fight through contact with smaller players. If they're not calling shoves, shove back.

3) Kenny Atkinson - there needs to be a response when Tatum is pissed he's not getting super star treatment and decides to take it out on Mitchell's jaw. If the response doesn't come from the officials, it has to come from you.

Also, that zone ain't it against good outside shooting teams.

28 other teams aren't either lol

If a 3 point loss in November after 15 straight sends you into a spiral, I'd say you're in for a long season.

I'm commenting about the game this is a game thread I'm talking about the Cavs vs Celtics the other teams aren't relevant our record is not relevant not sure what about that is spiraling but ok. You people hear what you want to hear.

Love the record love the start. Still not enough to take down the Celtics in my opinion

It's November. We're 15-1. We weren't going to go 82-0. I would hope that Atkinson is smart enough to revisit the utility of that zone against good shooting teams - especially with three undersized guard lineups. I would hope that this one stings enough for Allen and Garland that they go watch some tape.

We play the Celtics again, at Cleveland, on December 1st. Maybe give it a minute.

I guess I should ask since I didn't get this information watching live. Why was Jarrett Allen out?

Also, quick shoutout to CPJ who was great in his time.
