Maybe its part of the gameplan and Jokic has ridiculously good hands stripping the ball (he is top 50 in the league for stl/100 pos, but IDK if that should persuade Allen just not to shoot his hooks). We've seen our guards get hedged and doubled so he's been found many times in the short roll with a simple floater or hook open, but instead he's picking up the ball and resetting the possession.
He just missed a dunk (his 4th shot of the night) actually shooting from that spot so maybe something is bothering him?
He's played really good defense on Jokic so he's not been a net-negative even though he's killing some offensive possessions. Just weird.

Allen has been below his standard since that leg injury he had. We have a lot of rest days coming up, hopefully he can get right while Cup teams are wasting their energy.

I'm somewhat shocked he hasn't gotten a day off. Kenny has been good with limiting minutes and giving guys nights off, but for whatever reason Allen has been playing every day and today playing the most minutes (which makes sense against Jokic).

One of Allen's preseason goals was to play 82 games.
Cavs seem to play better with less rest lol Hawks smacked us last time.ijspeelman wrote:toooskies wrote:ijspeelman wrote:

That'll do it.
If its going to harm us in the playoffs, I'd prefer he take his rest. This stretch of four games in two weeks coming up should be really helpful tho
It's a good layer added to his game.ijspeelman wrote:
Just cool watching Mobley comfortable shooting threes. He made two "movement" threes in this game. Just don't usually see it and really does show the volume increase is real. I am curious where his % falls at the end of the season
