This feels like a trap game, right before the All-Star break.
No Okoro or Wade again.
Ty and Strus arr questionable.

Raps have been really good the last few weeks as well.

#Cavs say that Max Strus is available tonight in Toronto. Ty Jerome is out.

I think I like Hunter get more of his time in bench units (maybe until the closing line-up) because we can rely on him as a scorer a bit more rather than someone who is mainly going to be playing off-ball when the two lead guards and Mobley are out there. We will see what KA wants to do. He said it'll take him 10-15 games to really figure out his line-ups with Hunter.

Thankfully there are like 30 games left but that makes me hope guy 14 and 15 cam be useful.

Max Strus hitting 4 threes early is nice, the cooler part is each one was assisted on by a different member of the core 4.

Scottie Barnes tries to show that he's as good or better than Mobley every time he plays us and his team suffers for it.

TT almost took on the entire Raptors bench at the end of the game.

Probably a game we lose in previous seasons but glad to see it's another Cavs blowout win.
Celtics really are staying hot on our heels for 1st in the East.

Can't wait to hear his explanation for why decided to flip off his home town.
I imagine he either thought it was a big joke and he'd get a cheer for it, maybe someone on the bench or the stands was giving him a hard time, or maybe he messed up his dose and forgot that his most important job on the team is to run out the clock and eat that turnover.
Brandon Ingram looked like he'd been smoking pot all day.

Supposedly its bc he was hacked and didn't get foul shots the previous possession. But that's just speculation

I'm enjoying Hunter so far, but I do feel as if we are currently wasting his offensive versality. With the few plays we've ran for him its resulted in an open look, but they are very same-y rn. Its typically just an off-ball screen for him from the corner. Otherwise, he's filling the gaps and he's not being left open (which probs is great for spacing), but we are keeping him v off-ball with no actions. I'd love to see him be the primary screener sometimes or even an off-ball screener for a shooter. I know KA mentioned that the Hawks used him a lot as an off-ball screener into diff actions, but the Cavs don't run a lot of those sets. Its been two games and I assume just one practice so not going to be hard on anyone for keeping the offense simple for him, but would like to see a bit more.
Its funny bc on the opposite end I feel like they've thrown him harder into the mix. We are v switch heavy as long as JA isn't in the screening action with a guard handling the ball and he's just been thrown right in. We still occasionally communicate each switch, but some of the scheme heavy switches where we attempt to keep Mob or JA in the paint haven't 100% registered w Hunter. Again, two game sample and he's relearning a few things, but some of these defensive mishaps won't fly against good teams. I love that they've put him in the zone coverage already and he's looked p fluid the few times they've tried it. He's also looked solid one-on-one. I think he's missed a few help rotations, but I assume they'll get him a little more in-tune on that end.
Its funny that I am a little more worried about the offense than defense so far bc the things he's been bad at on defense can be ironed out with more time, but the offensive stuff needs some direct action. I still think he'll most useful in the Garland Allen line-ups, but he has mostly spent his time with Mitchell Mobley line-ups where he is the third offensive option.
