Nets just beat the Lakers, let's hope they don't surprise us tonight.

#Cavs have ruled Ty Jerome (rest) out for tonight’s game against Brooklyn.

Donovan Mitchell (groin) and De’Andre Hunter (illness) have also been added to the injury report as questionable.

Ty Jerome (rest), De’Andre Hunter (illness) and Donovan Mitchell (groin soreness) are OUT for the #Cavs against the Nets tonight.

It’s likely that Craig Porter Jr. and Dean Wade will get more run to counter the absence of Jerome and Hunter. #LetEmKnow #NBASky

Somehow Cavs found a way to win again. Top 4 seed in the East now clinched, right?

Yup. And that is two 15 win streaks in the same season

It was nice to see the Cavs not collapse later in the 4th when the Nets decided to double Garland whenever he touched the ball, but you'd like to see Mobley rise to the occasion a little more there (especially with no Mitchell).

This win puts the Cavs at 19-1 in their last 20 games, surpassing the longest stretch of games with just one loss from last year (18-1).

Their best last season was 17-1. Cavs started this season 17-1 (15-0 streak).

They also had that 16-1 stretch almost right after that (12-0 streak).

Currently like you said 19-1 on their 2nd 15-0 streak.

They essentially have 3 of last season's best stretch. Which makes sense, because Kenny is probably 3 times the coach jb is.

Hmm, you're right on the stats last year. I was going from memory on that. Off by a game. 17-1, 18-2 immediately before the all-star break.

Every time I look back on last year's team I'm surprised at how many games they lost after the all-star break. Looking through the box scores of those losses, it's striking how much of an issue that depth was-- so many of those losses we were playing the likes of Marcus Morris, Damian Jones, and Tristan Thompson rotation minutes as the 7th and 8th men. One or two games of Isaiah Mobley and Emoni Bates getting rotation minutes. (Niang started ten games in that stretch.) And the offense just broke down when Garland and Mitchell were too hurt to get their shots consistently.

I was going to look at the games last season just didn't have time.

I do think Kenny being apart of that 2015 Hawks coaching staff is good because he saw how many games they lost and thought they were unprepared for that ECF series. So, hopefully he can keep this team engaged through June (if we're lucky enough to go that far).

I'd love to go for 70-wins, but I could see Kenny trying to get our starters some extended rest once we clinch the #1 seed. I just hate seeing DG getting more and beat up. I was hoping our shooting wouldn't drop off with the decreased minutes everyone is playing, it's concerning.

As it stands now, we have to win 8 of our final 17 games to clinch the 1 seed in the East. If the Celtics drop some games that could change. Would be nice to lock it up by the end of the month but then idk if Kenny cares about the #1 overall seed or not, we'll see.

It wasn't just Mitchell who was out, but Ty Jerome and Hunter as well. The only guy I'm a little concerned about is Mobley. He was a little passive last night and even more so against the Bucks. When Giannis and Lopez are switching out Mitchell and Garland at the perimeter, he needs to be aggressive to the ball and aggressive to the hoop against the smaller defenders.

At a minimum there needs to be a hockey assist when he gets the ball while a guard is being double teamed 30 feet away from the basket.
