Hahaha good ol' Cincinnati Royals.

Sabonis is out, Cavs gotta find a way to win this one despite being a back to back and 3rd game in 4 days. Also on the west coast, so not a lot of factors in our favor.

Valančiūnas beat up Garland and Mitchell as a Wizard so hopefully he can keep his hands to himself tonight.

They're resting Garland tonight, so that's not good.

I know we're trying to keep guys fresh but I'd really like to secure the #1 seed in the East before we start resting guys every game.

Looking at it, i think if we can win 4 or 5 of the final 14 games, we should be good.

Well, LaVine a late scratch, so maybe that helps.

LaRavia is also out.

#Cavs are sliding Dean Wade into the starting lineup with Darius Garland out tonight. He joins Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the first five against the Kings.

These two games specifically Mobley has not looked like a DPOY frontrunner. He's lucky these are not nationally broadcasted games

14 ORBs for the Kings

Why am I staying up for these games lol?

I think we're losing at the point-of-attack and Mobley can't save the whole defense all the time. When you have to contest at the rim it's difficult to be in position to rebound. Even then, 14 ORBs aren't great but we still won the Valanciunas minutes pretty dominantly. Somehow it was Keegan Murray and Trey Lyles killing us.

On the flip side, other teams' point of attack defenders are giving us problems with the second unit. Jerome has always been more of a combo guard than a pure point and I think we're feeling a bit of the loss of LeVert's versatility, particularly when Mitchell or Garland are DNPs.

Max should be helping with ball handling if they trap Ty, but I think Ty just needs to be more careful with the ball. He doesn't usually commit many turnovers. Alternatively we can throw CPJ out there with him like we did in the first half but obviously that comes at the cost of a shooter/defender.

Maybe Kenny needs to run some ball pressure drills it's been a problem for years, but hey at least we can inbound the ball for the most part this season.

We need Mitchell to get going so it may be a good thing. Of course, if he's not at least 90%, maybe he shouldn't be out there at all.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

If/when we mathematically secure the #1 seed in the East, I wonder if we rest guys more or aim for the rest/rust debate.

I hadn't realized that this game was already played. If we can't address POA defense with Garland out, and while we have all of Okoro, Wade, Hunter, and Green on the roster, there's a problem with our rotations.
