Yeah, that groin is going to be a problem the rest of the year, bummer that happened again. He looks like a shell of himself.

Celtics are only 4.5 games back and have another easy 8 wins on their schedule, if they want them.

And he's pretty good at them, but what is funny is Atkinson and JB are both top of the league in correct challenges

Rebounding was better, but there's still work to do on that front. Wade was tasked with getting a body on Clinger to free up the other bigs so he gets a pass, but Strus and Jerome need to prioritize securing the defensive rebound and ending the other team's possession. There were a few times where they either leaked out, or were getting ready to run, and we gave Portland second chance points. Whatever the math was on that trade off earlier in the season, the scouting report is clearly out on us. Bomb away from 3 point range and you can get the long rebound because it's not a priority for our perimeter players.

It's just Atkinson's style, for better or worse. In the playoffs hopefully Atkinson and his staff will be less rigid on the pace and space offense.

Not down for the play-in spot?

POR lacks top end talent. Quality FA do not sign in POR so its draft or trade for us.

I don't want to hear any nonsense about style. Being unable to adapt to what's actually happening on the floor is why JB isn't here any more. This is a professional league where the other team develops thick scouting reports for the playoffs. We lost 4 games to inferior the teams in the same way. It's out there now.

I mean, we have 58 wins on the season currently and the #1 offense in the NBA lol pace and space obviously works, for the regular season.

Why i said, hopefully come the playoffs, the staff setup a scheme for each series to fit the opponent. THAT is why jb was fired because in 3 straight post seasons he failed to adjust his game plan to beat the opponent, most likely the same exact thing he will do again, with the Pistons.

We gotta give Atkinson some leeway here, he's potetinally the best head coach this franchise has ever had.

Play-in doesn't necessarily mean playoffs so you will probs end up w a similar pick anyway. The team is fun right now and would love to see them play an incredibly meaningful game. I do agree POR lacks top end talent to move into any contention tier in the near future, however, so maximizing a low pick may be the move.
