I thought that we should have gone after Randolph this summer. I thought he would be a great pickup and would recover from his black hole and no defense problems. I was wrong. Very wrong. I dont want this guy anywhere near our team. Props to Ferry for not making a mistake that many of us wanted him to do.

no way. I never wanted him. I mean he put up numbers in por, but he's a jump shooter, he's basically drew gooden but a bit better scorer. no d. no way.

Curry id take for that plus anything but Gibson or a 1st.

We don't have our 08 2nd this year, thanks to the Milt Palacio deal a few years back.

essful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Cleveland and New York being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Cleveland and New York had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Sure why not. I am probably one of the few Kwame Brown fans on the planet. He's got hands of stone but he's a very good defensive player. It doesn't hurt that his contract is expiring. Of course the problem is that the Cavs would have to throw more into this deal in order for the contracts to be even remotely close. Sasha and Shannon are about a wash which means the Cavs needs to try to get close to Kwame's 9 mil.

throw in lebron so the trade can go throught.

you need to trade gooden/varejao for that trade to make any sense

by TheOUTLAW
I would just assume that Cleveland would trade Gooden in a separate deal. But they really wouldn't "have" to move him. It just means that Varejao would get more of his minutes behind Z.

The salaries aren't close to matching there. I don't even know if Vujacic for Brown works. I'd have to check salaries.

I was looking at a trade between Cle and Atl that I think would benefit both teams.

Atlanta Trade Breakdown

Incoming Players
Ira Newble
6-7 SF from Miami-OH

Outgoing Players
Zaza Pachulia
6-11 C /PF from Georgia (Foreign)
2nd rd Pick

Cleveland Trade Breakdown

Incoming Players
Zaza Pachulia
6-11 C / PF from Georgia (Foreign)
2nd rd pick
Outgoing Players
Ira Newble
6-7 SF from Miami-OH

Zaza has fallen out of favor in Atl and his minutes are half what they were the last two seasons. He averaged 12pts and ~8rebs per game the last two seasons. He's a tough defender. He kind of reminds me of Z but with a better back to the basket game. I think Z can refine him to become an efficent starter again and hopefully bring his rebounds up to double digits and possibly take over for Z since he is only 23.
Atl does this simply to get the expiring because they are shopping players because they are having a problem figuring out how to resign Childress and Josh Smith so I think that we could do it straight up but the 2nd pick is because they are desperate.
