If the stars are lined up correctly...

Post#1 » by eyejayem » Wed Feb 6, 2008 9:57 pm

If the Mike Miller trade goes through and we do something along the lines of what has been offered:

Sasha Pavolovic, Ira Newble, Shannon Brown, Cedric Simmons and Cash

for

Mike Miller and Hakim Warrick

+I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a possible follow up trade:

Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Eric Snow, and 2nd rd pick

for

Kirk Hinrich and Ben Wallace

This leaves us a lineup of:

Hinrich/ Gibson / Da Jones
Miller/ De Brown
James/ Warrick
Varrajao/ Marshall
Ilgauskas/ Wallace / Dw Jones

Even though our post offense takes a hit we solidify our backcourt with two guys who should thrive with Lebron. Varrajao starts and gets ready to sign long term next year. Gibson will be up for 6th man of the year next year. Warrick can play the 3 and 4 especially since we will probably end up trading Marshall with Damon since he is an expiring next year. Wallace has the same amount of years as Hughes but can play PF or C and gives us extra toughness and more rebounds and something we've never had- Blocks. Even though he will be coming off the bench it will be about the minutes. I think the Chicago trade is even with just players but they may not want to trade with us so the 2nd rd pick is to bring them in.

The 2nd trade has been rumored (but with Newble instead of Snow). I'd do both. But I wonder if the Grizz would include Warrick, and if the Bulls would take Snow instead of Newble.

not a chance on that 2nd trade.

Larry's playing well lately.

Ben Wallace is washed up

Just do the first trade and get healthy and we should win the championship.

I just cant see us tearing up that much of a team that went to the Finals last year. Moving a couple players I can see. Bringing in 3 new starters is too much.

I agree with LJ - make the 1st trade and we are set.

If the trade goes through it would go through on Thurs - that's the 1st day Sasha can be traded..

Where has this trade been rumored? I've seen some banter around here, but I haven't seen a link or anyone talking about it like it's potentially eminent.

Theres about 20% the first trade will happen and about 5% the second will happen.

I'd take the first one any day of the month, dunno about the other one. I'd rather have Hughes and Miller defending our backcourt than Hinrich and Miller.

I hope Miller fits into the Cavs schemes That's my only concern. He is a gifted athelete. I just hope he is a fit if he's coming our way.
