Sasha Pavlovic (2 years left; $9.5M)
Shannon Brown (ending contract)
Cedric Simmons (1 year left; $1.7M)
Ira Newble (ending contract)
Eric Snow (1 year left; $7.3M)
Donyell Marshall (1 year left; $6M)
2009 & 2011 1st Round Picks

for

Mike Miller (2 years left; $18.8M)
Darko Milicic (2 years left; $14.5M)
Kyle Lowry (1 year left; $1.2M)
Hakim Warrick (1 year left; $2.1M)
Brian Cardinal (2 years left; $13.1M)

Cavaliers
C: Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Darko Milicic
PF: Drew Gooden, Anderson Varejao, Hakim Warrick
SF: LeBron James, Devin Brown
SG: Mike Miller, Daniel Gibson, Damon Jones
PG: Larry Hughes, Kyle Lowry
IR: Brian Cardinal, Dwayne Jones

1. The Cavaliers get the shooter they've been needing in Miller to pair with LBJ.
2. They get some young talent in Milicic, Lowry and Warrick.
3. They take on Cardinal's bad contract.
4. They give up two future 1st Rounders.

Grizzlies
C: Kwame Brown, Cedric Simmons
PF: Jason Collins, Andre Brown, Donyell Marshall
SF: Rudy Gay, Casey Jacobsen
SG: Sasha Pavlovic, Juan Carlos Navarro, Shannon Brown
PG: Mike Conley, Javaris Crittenton
IR: Eric Snow, Ira Newble

1. They receive some young talent in Pavlovic, Simmons & Brown as well as two future 1st Rounders.
2. They receive cap relief in Newble, Snow & Marshall.
3. The Grizzlies will build their team around Gay, Conley & Pavlovic. Also, all the future 1st Rounders they get from the Cavaliers (2009 & 2011) and Lakers (2008 & 2010), in addition to their own. That would give them two 1st Round picks each year to add more young talent for the future. They have their PG, SG & SF of the future. Look for them to add to their frontcourt in this years draft (PF & C).
4. All the money the Grizzlies save in the future. $4.5M after this season (Newble & Brown's endings). $6.1M for the 08/09 season. And $24M for the 09/10 season.

That deal is a little more than Mike Miller, so it's hard to answer your question..

However, I like that deal...

I'm sure if Ferry calls Memphis and says he'll give em all of his bench players for 3 of their starters it will probably go over pretty well..

Are you sure that thats all of the players you want to include?

It'd be more realistic if you added in a couple more

Memphis isn't taking Eric Snow or Hot Donny.

No thank you. Snow and Marshall are not worth, IMO, unloading BC. Warrick and Lowry aren't going as throw ins. Darko isn't going anywhere, he's the first big signing for the new regime - with all the rest of the heat that Wallace is taking for his bone headed trade of Gasol, giving up on Darko this soon would be too much.

Keep it simple. Miller for Newble, Sasha and Simmons.

Done deal.

Darko is lame and his attitude still sucks, he is overpaid and behind Andy, Z and Drew he could get Pollard like minutes.

One game he goes for 10 and 10 the next 3 he barely gets some playing time (Drew). With all that being said, sure lets do it!!!!

If we can get Miller for Ira/Simmons/Pavs, why haven't we done it yet? Ferry should be all over that.

Just curious which trade you thought was horrible. The first one, or the one made by the Grizz fan?

The first one isn't really a good deal for Cleveland. 2 1st-rounders for Miller? Sure, Darko and Lowry were added, but Memphis has 4 pgs and they aren't all gonna get minutes. They HAVE to get rid of one anyway. Darko is a big-time under-achiever. I'd like to have Darko...but not for a #1 pick.

The second trade was bad for memphis...I'm surprised a Grizz fan posted it. The Cavs would jump on that in a Mississippi-second!!!!!

A more realistic deal....keeping it simple:

Damon Jones and Ira Newble, 2009 protected 1st-round pick + 3 million cash For Miller.

Memphis saves money immediately, then Ira expires. Damon can play shooting-guard and pg, so Miller won't be missed, plus Damon can help mentor some of those young PGs. Memphis gets a shorter contract with Damon, for half the price and a 1st-round pick to help them rebuild. The reason it's a 2009 pick is because they already have 2 in 08 and 2010 (Lakers).

Cleveland gets a SG who can shoot. Sasha can goto bench, and strengthen rotation. Cleveland wont need 2009 pick because they will be picking a CENTER this draft!!! The PG will come via trade or free-agency, or possibly from within.

This is a fair deal for "both" teams.

Sasha would be a good fit in Memphis. He's a good defender and could play next to Navarro. Not to mention Sasha is good friends with Darko from their National Team. The Griz had interest in a s&t for Sasha.

I can see Griz fans' trade as a possibility but Pavs sprained foot could be a problem. The Cavs may have to sweeten with some kind of draft pick.

Hey I've been to Mississippi, A Mississippi second is like an hour.

Don't believe me, go there and ask someone to do something involving work.
