We can't leave out Paxson on some of the blame, come on guys. We have a rich history of bad GM's, don't sell anyone short here.

Cleveland sports teams are always TOOO DAMN WILLING to train a coach or a GM instead of hiring a proven one.


It's hard enough to "win now" while training a coach.
And it's obviously even harder while your GM is cutting his teeth.

Paxon wasn't all bad. He got rid of Kemp's huge contract and got us something like $28 mil under the cap in '05.

I do forget about his ability to jettison some bad contracts. I guess Ferry could take a page from Paxson there. But he still screwed up every draft pick except for Boozer, and I suppose Lebron, although that one was a gimmee
