How did you find about realgm?

Post#1 » by LeQuitterNotMVP » Fri Feb 15, 2008 2:15 am

I saw this over on the Bulls board, and I thought it would be interesting to find out how you guys found about realgm.

I found about it a few years ago in SI, they mentioned the trade checker and real gms (pun?) use it. So, I came over here and tried it out. I eventually starting reading the boards, probably for about a year before I finally joined.

as one of the elderstatesmen of the site, I found the site after having been a regular on basketballboards.net. For a time I was on both sites pretty heavily but gravitated to this site almost exclusively after a time.

I came here when I found out all the cool kids were coming here.

I lurked around for about a year or two before actually ever posting.

I am 5'10" and an aquarius.

Now that we're such close friends...

Ferry is missing the boat on the Mike Miller thing.

magloire and nachbar... @#$%^&*!

I'd hope we can come up with something more attractive than that for a player of Miller's caliber who is also under contract for a couple more years.

Miller is the ONE player out of all of the rumors that I wouldn't mind giving up a Gooden or if I had to... a Gibson and/or a pick for...

young, talented and under control for a couple more seasons... hence more shots at a title..

I found out about it 7 or 8 years ago on the old Cavs board on ESPN. People used the trade checker then and I thought it was such a neat tool to use to determine if a trade worked under the NBA's rule/regulations. I eventually joined on the boards. My post count doesn't show my senority on how long I've been here, but I mostly read the boards/trade ideas.

I lurked for awhile, well over a year. Also a transplant from the ESPN board.

What actually motivated me to create a username and post was the whole Loozer situation.

Being a true baskeball-aholic , I stumbled upon realgm after seaching basketball rumors and posting on different sites. This one was just the one that stuck and eventually bumped every other site I used with my spare time. There is nothing better for basketball info. If it had a section for people who needed to learn basktball like offensive sets, defensive sets, coach tips, training tips, etc; It would be the best basketball site ever. I guess in due time.

Speaking as an extraterrestrial sent to keep an eye on this world; our world loves the NBA. We also know that real team gm's get feedback from their cutomer's from this website as well as ideas for real transactions. Who the Hell posted the Kidd trade? Dumba$$ Cuban!

P.S. LBJ and Michael are really both part human part alien. Most of the great ones are.
