LeBron James has let Cleveland management know that he wants some help on the court and he's rather unhappy that he hasn't gotten any, according to the Chicago Tribune.

With Jason Kidd rumored to be halfway to Dallas and the Hawks acquisition of Mike Bibby, James is reportedly upset.

"We're not that good. That's what everyone talks about. We beat Detroit. We didn't beat Detroit; Detroit beat themselves. Washington was missing key guys, and New Jersey didn't play up to their capabilities. Enough of the Cavs now. You all got me a little upset."

Please read the article before you decide to try to play it up here. That article has no validity and LeBron never said anything regarding being frustrated. Bottom line is that he said, we should make a trade "if" it improves the team.

Another case of both Sam Smith and RealGM's wiretap trying to make something out of nothing. Im really not sure how either of the two get away with it, but yet again there they both go causing problems.

LeBron was making fun of the media for degrading our team. It was all sarcastic. Even though the article is extremely slanted you can still get from it that LeBron was upset at the media. Actually read the article next time.

even if the story had merit (which I doubt it does), what exactly can the Cavs do? they can trade drew gooden. that's about it. or make a trade that doesn't help them. perhaps trade gooden and expirings for Zach Randolph, but that proably sets back the team 3 more years.

there is no market for Hughes at his salary and his low production unless jerome james is on the other end of the trade.

lots of other players with big salaries aren't even playing much. Not going to get anything there either.

Next season when you have a number of expirings, you could add some talent.

perhaps if they keep their draft picks they could get something of value without overpaying.

Everything you said is true. I think that alot of teams view Cleveland position as desperate so alot of the deals have been viewing Cleveland as the desperate party. However, it is pretty clear that Ferry is not going to make a trade that Cleveland is not the clear winner. Because of that I don't see us making a trade at all this year (which I actually think is a good thing). Next year on the other hand we need to parlay those expirings into something of some worth.

We all know the Cavs will make a big more although it might not happen until the deadline next year when they have all those expirings.

In the meantime the Cavaliers have been very good this year when they have their whole team together and healthy.

Lebron is clearly an idiot, as are most other "franchise" players. They all sign ridiculous deals and wonder why they can't get good help around them. The teams can't afford more then one superstar. The should cut back the max deals to like 8 mill a year or less.

I disagree. LeBron makes less money than he ought to because of the CBA. The owners have a salary cap in order to protect themselves from themselves.

Even if Lebron made the mle, the cavs wouldnt be under the cap, thus they couldnt sign big time free agents.

Before calling someone an idiot and bashing teams or players, do your homework so you don't sound like a uninformed poster.

The big time players dont sign with other teams, they are traded.

I can only see smaller deal(s) happening at this time something along the lines of a Jarret Jack at best.

Nothing new with Sam Smith writing stories about Lebron leaving Cleveland -- he's written one each season that Lebron's been in the league just like ESPN does.

LeBron has worked his way to multi-millionaire status at such a young age..
LeBron is marketed around the world not just for his talent, but also because he has a close to squeeky clean image..
ie. he hasn't done anything "idiotic"

but since you're still in the dark, it's because the Cavs have made too many bad decisions spending their money
they have too many useless to slightly competent players under contract

and if they hadn't done that they WOULD be able to afford more than 1 max contract superstar player..
hell if they had made just one less bad decision they would be able to afford a second max contract player..

they have LeBron, Hughes and Z making "superstar" money right now..

its clearly not that we can't AFFORD a second "superstar"..

it's just that no one is giving superstar players up for what we want to give them in return

That's not always true..

Shaq signed with the Lakers. Gilbert Arenas signed with the Wizards. Joe Johnson signed with the Hawks. Your boy Boozer signed with the Jazz. There are many, many others.

I think there are more traded players.. mostly because teams don't like to lose their stars for nothing. But not ALL the big names are traded.

I'm betting some big names are going to opt out this off season..
some big names on the list of ETOs....
