LeBron being LeBron thread- take 2

The_Outlaw had this great thread going full bloom last year. I am too lazy to search for it and it appears others are too or it would already be bumped. He puts up sick lines on a nightly basis. 33 straight 20 point games and it's not even talked about. Back to back triple doubles for the first time in the NBA since Magic Johnson, big deal. I'm a Cleveland fan to the core in all sports, and it seems some people get labeled a LeBron homer for just acknowledging how great he is on a nightly basis. It's overdue for a thread on his excellence.
LeBron in 49 games is averaging 30.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.1 blocks per game. Career highs in almost every category. (2.2 steals in 2005, 31.4 points in 2006). He's also shooting a career best 48.4 percent from the floor.
For the month of February
vs Memphis - 25 pts, 7 reb, 11 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk
vs Washington - 33 pts, 15 reb, 8 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
at Indiana - 31 pts, 14 reb, 12 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
vs Houston - 26 pts, 13 reb, 11 ast, 2 stl, 0 blk
vs San Antonio - 39 pts, 6 reb, 9 ast, 0 stl, 1 blk
at Orlando- 29 pts, 7 reb, 10 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk
vs Denver - 30 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 0 blk
at Atlanta - 26 pts, 11 reb, 7 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
at Houston - 32 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk
vs Boston - 33 pts, 9 reb, 12 ast, 5 stl, 2 blk
vs LA Clippers- 28 pts, 11 reb, 7 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
Averages for the month of February (11 games)
30.2 pts, 9.6 reb, 8.7 ast, 2.2 stl, 1.0 blk
Just disgusting. How about some love for The King. Most of these games are against the better teams in the league too.

LeBron is IMO the best player in the league. And in all honesty I cant think of one nba player in history who if they played a game on one on one with LeBron would win. Nobody could check this dude one on one not mj not kobe. Props to the king this season if it wasnt for that finger injury we would be 10 plus games over 500, and everyone would be sipping the lebron for mvp koolaid.

People outside of Cleveland aren't acknowledging how great of season Lebron is having. 30-8-8 every night on great efficiency, playing great defense for the most part, showing great leadership, dominating 4th quarters on regular basis, just doing anything the team needs and dominating all aspects of the game. This is one of the best individual seasons a player has ever had. I'm getting so used to these great games night in and night out I feel like I'm starting to take his greatness for granted. He'll put up 28-10-10 one night and I don't give it a second thought.

Now that our team basketball IQ has improved dramatically and we have shooters who can actually shoot (pretty much the whole roster except Ben and Snow), it wouldn't surprise me at all to see LeBron average 10+ assists the rest of the season like he has for the last 6 games.

You know what's scary to me... I get the sense he isnt even playing hard. We've all seen him do it every year: He starts getting better and better as the season goes along and then come playoff time he is going full bore and he plays his best basketball. I think he still has another couple of notches to crank his game up to come playoff time...
Playoff LeBron = Nightmares for everyone else

LeBron is about to shatter this mark
- the youngest player to score 10,000 points - Kobe Bryant at 24 years and 193 days.
After tonight, LeBron has 9,946 points.

There is no doubt in my mind that LeBron coasted in yesterdays game against he Grizz. It seemed like he just wanted to get the new guys a chance to show what they can do. And he still put up 25/11/7. Of course the negative was that in his effort to get the ball to others he ended up with way too many turnovers (6).

Oh and by the way, the LeBron being LeBron thread was 2 years ago. Last year was the the Game MVP thread.
Do you guys know that if LeBron keeps up with his current stats he'll not only be the teams all time scoring leader he will also be the teams assist leader (by the end of this season I'm pretty sure). That's just remarkable to me especially when you take into consideration that the Cavs have had some pretty good pg's.
Anyone else amused by how often people argue that what ever team is trying to stop or slow down LeBron gets accused of not playing defense on him? Like he isn't the one Cavalier that teams actually gameplanned for.

What I also find ridiculous is he's 54 points and 90 assists away from having 10.000 points, 2.500 assists and 2.500 rebounds in his first 5 years in the league and at age of 23 at that.
I guess only Oscar Roberston managed that before.

Including that game against us, Manu has been a beast.
LeBron has merely been LeBron.

first since wilt, first since magic, only player other than wilt and oscar, etc. How often do you hear phrases like that about LeBron this year?
Yet people want to deny him MVP because he missed 6 1/2 games with injuries.

That is the way people look at it, isn't it?
Manu: 30.7 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds
LeBron: 28.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 10.5 assists

They might reconsider the MVP if LeBron gets the team to 50 wins. Of course he's been denied it before because people argued that he had many more years that he could win it. There is clearly a double standard and it really does not work out to his benefit.

There was that same discussion 2 years ago. People felt that LeBron should win it if he got the team to 50 wins and yet, he didn't. And frankly the main reason was because people felt that he was so young and that there were others where this might be their last shot. I don't think there has been a more valuable player to his team than LeBron in 3 years.
