Big Z---A Class Act

Post#1 » by goddago » Sun Mar 2, 2008 2:16 pm

Sometimes things get lost in all the moaning, but I'd like to recognize one of the true 'class acts' in the NBA that we have in Big Z. Back in the day, he could have caved to all the foot problems he had but instead, battled through many years of rehab and fan displeasure. More recently, he took his pay cut without whining and continued to play at the same or higher level. Now he has the chance to benefit playing alongside Ben where he can go outside and use that great 15-17 ft jumper he has and give Ben more room to operate for offensive rebounds or stay inside and do his Moses Malone tip drill. Too Slow? Too Soft? Too Clumsy? Maybe to some, but I'm glad he continues to wear the wine and gold. Here's hoping he really enjoys what's likely his last couple years in the league.

Z is great, they're gonna retire his jersey once he's done playing for sure

Not to mention he also does more work off the court in the community than half our team combined.
