Top to Bottom, Are we the deepest team in the league?

I definitely wouldn't go that far since there are quite a few teams with more talent than we have. But we have way more depth than we had previously

We will have great depth but we still don't have that 1 other star player to complement Lebron.
Ferry will need to add that piece via our expirings in the offseason

Who is on the radar in the offseason for us to trade for?
Wally plus Damon could be a great package.....
I just dont know who comes to mind

Good question. I've thought about it and the guys on the block right now just don't seem that great - e.g. VC, Jermaine O'Neal, etc.
We need a big man upgrade because Z is getting up there in age, but we also need a scoring wing with some size. Ferry has his work cut out for him.
One guy worth considering his Andre Iguodala. He was upset with the Sixers last contract offer and turned it down. If they decide they don't want to pay him big $, they might consider a sign and trade.

Mr. Elton Brand.

Would expirings and draft picks be enough for him? I suppose they may have enough at the F/C positions with Kaman, Al Thornton and perhaps a big in the draft, but I'd have to believe they could get much more for Brand in a trade than the Cavs can offer.
It's a very nice wish though

I wouldn't go that far.
Farmar
Vujacic
Ariza/Walton
Radmanovich
Turaif/Mbenga
easily to be honest

Szczerbiak > Vujacic
D. Brown > Ariza
J. Smith > Radmanovich
Varejao > Turiaf
The only thing I might give the Lakers the advantage on would be if Wally and Devin switched spots and then Vujacic would be better than Devin. I am of course assuming that Wally plays like the player he has been his whole career. If you want to talk starting 5 then you easily have us, but your bench guys are not better than ours.

To be honest, the guy we need is a BIG who plays offense as well as Drew did, but also plays good or great defense.
I don't see us getting Elton Brand.
I think Oneal may be a possibility. Speakung of him.... why is everyone down on him? He was considered one of the top 5 players in the league 2 years ago before his injury! I think adding him would be an awesome addition and would probably be our big #2 that LeBron has needed. He has reportedly made a full recovery, and if that is the case, getting him may qualify as one of the biggest steals in NBA history.

What would it take to get J. Oneil at this stage in his career? Are combos of expirings such as (pick two, maybe three) Wally, Smith, Snow and Damon, plus a draft pick or a guy like Sasha, enough to get him?

My guess is that we could definitely put together a package for him.
Indiana would want a BIG in return. One that has a bright future. That means that Varejao would need to be included.
I could see a Varejao,Szczerbiak, and a 1st round pick getting the deal done.
Jermaine O'Neal has made it pretty clear he doesn't want to be in Indiana any longer, but he wont opt out this season because it'd be hard to get the same contract w/o showing a year of good dominance.
It also wouldn't surprise me if we had to give-up 2 first round picks for him...plus Varejao and Szczerbiak.
Indiana would be interested in Wally due to their Coach's (O'Brien) offensive philosophy.... which is to chuck as many 3-pointers as possible.
I'd give-up Varejao and 2 #1 picks in a heart-beat if Indiana would bite.

Pass on Jermaine O'neal. He's seen his better days and is way too injury prone for my tastes.
I guess if we could keep our depth with Ben Wallace/Joe Smith I might consider it. But I'm not keen on giving up a 1st rounder.
