Austin Carr was AMAZING in college. I believe his career scoring average in the NCAA tournament is over 35 PPG.

Carr was nice in the pros as well but he blew out his knee in his rookie year (I think that's right) and never quite lived up to his promise.
Oh by the way for those that think that the Cleveland announcers are huge homers, it is because of Carr.
The remarkable point here is that LeBron should be the Cavs all time leader in scoring within a week. He's only about 140 or so points behind Brad Daugherty for the career mark.

And he's been a pretty damn good shotblocker in the NBA too. Nobody ever labeled him an offensive juggernaut.

AC was in second.. so LeBron is now in second for the time being. He should move up to number 1 on the list within a week.

I didn't mean it in an offensive way. I'm merely stating it's easier to become the Cavaliers leading scorer than a team with a longer run. They have had good teams, but no dynamic scorer to lead the pack.

That is true although not only Austin but Daugherty, Price, Campy, Mike Mitchell and of course World Free were all very good scorers. It takes more than being a good scorer to lead a franchise is scoring. Health and longevity are probably the biggest two things that could derail a player.

World B. Free is perhaps the best volume scorer in Cavs history prior to Lebron. He didn't average more than 25 in a season though while LBJ failed to reach that mark only once (his rookie year).
