Back of the roster scrub - hopefully that doesn't mean Newble won't sign with us anymore. We could use him in spot situations

Funny you should ask...

1. His primary role is big white stiff. That's 'bout it.

2. He is the player that got Rick Majerus canned at Utah. He is dyslexic or something and Fat Rick kept calling him a (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

3. His dad was my favorite high school teacher. His dad was a former polygamist with a ton of cool stories to tell and was my European History teacher.

4. He was a narc for Fox local news when he was like 14. The news people had him buy a ticket to see Showgirls to show naked girl movies shouldn't be at the multiplex. The got him because he already looked 18 being so tall.

5. He is damn lucky for this 10 day contract, abd I doubt he will ever see the floor. He isn't very good.

The fact that we signed only 1 guy to a 10-day contract, and the fact that the guy we signed is a big man, leads me to believe we, not the Lakers, will be signing Newble in 9(?) days.

If he wasn't a scrub, the team would've signed him for longer than 10 days; therefore, he's a scrub and nothing more.

Never heard about him. He'll probably have the same role as Stephen Graham did but as a big man. Don't expect anything out of this guy.

You never know. His stats were solid in the NBDL. Granted, the competition is watered down, but they're still pretty good.

Well, the fact remains that Majerus gave him crap about it.

I remember an article about him being hearing-impaired. I liked him on our summer league team. He would hustle and show his heart.

im just wondering... how could he hear the refs whistles on the court?

He hears well enough to have been the most efficient player on the D-League's best team.

He had among the best numbers at the D-League's all star game.

Allred played very well abroad before his most recent D-League success. That after putting up solid numbers in college.

I think the guy won't get a shot with Varajeo, Smith, Wallace, and Ilgauskas out there but he can play.

i'm deaf myself and im very proud to see lance allred make it in the nba even if its only for 10 days.

lerydee23, lance may not be able to hear the refs whistles but he will know when to stop when other players stop moving. i play in rec league...i always know when to stop when i see other players stop moving. deaf people like me use other senses to make up for their loss of hearing
