Lebron, overly selfish?

i know he's good, and without him we would definitely not be where we are.
but sometimes when he shoots fadeaway threes and attempts to be overly fancy he hurts us.
what do you guy's think?

His first two seasons when Lebron played I would have agreed but I dont know about now. I dont think it is about being fancy, and I dont think its about taking fadeaway 3s. I thought about it and I think he knows what he has to develop and that is the reason he takes so many shots.

Why not just go to the hole every time if no one can stop you there?
Because what do you do when you run into someone who can stop you there, you do something else. If he doesnt develope his shot in game situations so he can have a treacherous inside-outside game then when someone stops your strong point you become mediocre.

I remember when Jordan got into the league people said his weakness was shooting. Jordan played 18 games before being injured one of his first couple seasons and was out but he told reporters that since he couldnt move too well he practiced his set shot. When his ankle heeled incorporated that into his game and became a better shooter until the early 90s and the triangle offense allowed him to develope an unstoppable fadeaway because he knew he couldnt drive his whole career.

Lebron has been working with a shooting coach all summer and season. He knows that is a weakness in his game and when he gets to the playoffs he wont be able to drive all the time against good team defense. Jordans 3 point percentage was up and down as is Lebrons(and in no way am I ready to compare Lebron to Jordan) but the great players get hot and come through and can shoot anywhere when needed and thats what is necessary. We need him to be able to knock down jumpers when necessary when the paint is closed.

He's 23 and still developing, just imagine how good his game will be when he is 28. Plus not banging his body constantly adds years to how long he can play- think more Lebron, not less.

I don't think LeBron is selfish at all. In fact sometimes going down the stretch and often earlier in games he's no where near selfish enough. Sure, if there are others that'll give us better possibilities to score I could understand. But, right this moment I'm happier with LeBron taking a contested fadeaway 3 than I am for anyone else on the team to take a wide open 5 ft shot. But I do think that others on the team should defer to him less. It's annoying when others are creating turnovers because they are so desperate to get the ball to LeBron. Take the open shot

I dont trust his shot unless it is inside 4 feet.

lebron always shoots with bad form. fadeaway 3s are his regular lean.

Lebron's shot is ugly. But it has improved the past couple of years. He's basically streaky, so if he's in one of his streaks, it's not bad if he takes those difficult shots.

You know, its hard to call him selfish simply because he hasnt had someone consistent enough to defer (at times) to. I will say that with his physical dominance, he doesnt post up nearly enough.

If him wanting to be a wing player is the reason for him not posting up more, then that could be considered selfish I guess. But at this point I personally find it very difficult to criticize Lebron. When as a player you know that your teams chances rest solely on you it is very easy to appear as selfish from the outside,
