Boobie is going nowhere. There is a 100% chance he will be resigned by the Cavs this offseason.

Gibson has played pretty well most of the season, but he needs to get his legs back. That being said, he's way more necessary for the Cavs than Haslem would be. Sure Haslem is probably a better player, but he's also a bit of a duplicate of Smith as well.

There are two reasons why Gibson is not going anywhere:
1. He is one of the best 3 point shooters in the league, and will develop in to an above average point guard, although he is not there yet.
2. Boobie and Lebron love each other, I even heard that Gibson follows Lebron's pre-game ritual
-Haslem is style of play is the same as Andy and Wallace, why would want even more D and less offense at the four position.

If they do, I'm sure Miami will not do it. If Miami wants Gibson, they just sign him with their MLE and then let see if the Cavs match it considering they're above the lux tax, which means the salary is double.

If there's a tradew with the Cavs I'd love to make is Marion & Blount for Wally, Smith, Snow and Cavs '08 1st pick.

I don't like that trade (but then I've never ever seen what others see in Marion) and I don't see the Cavs giving Gibson that much (or anyone else doing it either). If the Heat offer him the full MLE, I'm pretty sure he's gone. I just can't imagine them doing it.

I really like Marion's game he play both offense and I think that his D is underrated. He has the ability to defend the teams best player which would take the pressure off of Lebron. I am not trilled of giving up our first round pick but I don't think that we are not going to get a better player then Marion with that pick. I wonder how much though that Marion would want in his next contract?

Gibson cant even make the full MLE I dont believe. The max he can make on his second contract is under the MLE, and no there is absolutely ZERO chance he is going anywhere. He is one of the few players we have found that actually fits well with LeBron, he and LeBron have an emmense amount of man love for each other, and he is beloved by the fans. Not happening.

I'd consider trading for Marion. He would be the 2nd best player on this team pretty easily (and he really is not all THAT great)

If we can get it done without the pick I'd consider it if we can't pull in Redd or a big man with our expirings.

The fact that Marion is not all that great is exactly why we need to avoid him. It's pretty obvious that he needs a PG for him to be effective and the fact that we've had players that weren't all that great making great player money already makes me want to avoid him.

isn't marion an expiring as well? so it makes no sense for riley to trade him for lesser players on expirings unless pick(s) are going the other way

Its absolutely makes sense for Riley to trade Marion if were getting a pick and players with expiring contract that fills our needs. Miami is set to have enough cap space to sign a FA in '09 like Brand if we let Marion walk. Then, why not get a young player or a pick that will not affect our cap space than letting him walk for nothing.

Gibson isn't going anywhere, nor would LeBron let him... Give it a rest...

How sure are you? Isn't money or the tax an issue?

It is a 100% certainty that Gibson will be resigned here. I dont doubt it for one second. He is LeBron's best friend on the team and there have been articles about how they want to play their whole careers together. He will be resigned, money is not an issue with him.

I think your wrong about the above average point guard thing, he is an undrsized shooting guard and will be a fine ball handler in a system like the Lakers or the Cavs but I dont think he will ever be an above average POINT GUARD. Thats just not his game.
