Pistons just lost game 1

I was just shocked at how frazzled the Pistons got once the Sixers upped the defensive pressure and started making some shots. What ever happened to that well oiled machine that they had?

Keep an eye on the Hawks vs Celtics series as well......

I was shocked cause when I stopped watching the game thinking eh Pistons will probably lock this up....

Should be interesting and if the Cavs can string some games together they might make another run...

I know the Pistons always seem confident but there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency at the close of the game at all. Sixers just stole home court.

rasheed was his usual idiot - this time sticking his head in the sixers huddle - then proceeds to miss a point blank layup.

Billups missed a layup as well. And these plays were going down the stretch with them behind.

the pistons will still win but i do not believe they should be taken real seriously as the playoffs progress...i could see orlando taking them out in the next series

Pistons looked real strong last night in Game 2. They found their defensive mojo and Tayshaun had one of those nights where his offensive confidence was thru the roof. Those don't happen real often but when they do there is not a team better than Detroit in the league.


LOL at Dallas imploding once again. Further evidence you do not build your team around a jump-shooting big man, no matter how freaking awesome Dirk might be. They don't have any guards who can guard other guards.

Pistons are going to win that series, it is going to be us against them in the finals. I think that Philly is under rated, Young is going to be a GREAT Nba player, mark my words.

Pistons lose by 20 in game 3. Of course, it's the same old excuses from their fans. The team isn't focused, no cause for alarm...

Pistons say the same thing every year, truth is they just get worse and worse every year. If they manage to beat the 76ers, they sure as hell won't get past the Celtics.

Start rooting for ATL. They outplayed BOS by a decent margin in game 3.

The longer they drag the series out, the better it is for us.

Yep. I've been keeping a close eye on that series. Its obvious that Boston is going to win, but Im hoping that Atlanta can come back out in game 4 and play like they did in game 3, while Boston does the same. Honestly I think that one's over in 5. The first game at home is always a tough game to win for the higher seed, but for the second one things normally even out. (Much like the Cavs) My goal for the Hawks was for them to win one. They did that, now anything else they do is gravy to me.

I'm not sure if it's better for us to have this series drag out or to see it end quickly like ours. Boston really hasn't seen any adversity all season, so it's really unknown how they will respond when they see some, it may be to our advantage if we give them their first real adversity and generate some self doubt. These are 3 great players, but really 3 guys who never really have had a lot of playoff success. The atlanta series will presumably be KGs 3rd series win ever.

That said, I sure enjoyed seeing them lose game 3.

I look at it this way... They are a relatively "old" team (at least as far as games played goes) with Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Cassel, Posey, Brown, etc... The more games they play, the more worn down they should be. If Atlanta wins another game and makes it a 6 game series, great. That would be another 30+ minutes on those guys and every minute more means another chance at an injury. Not that I would want to win shorthanded either, but obviously this is a weakness of their's so we should look to exploit it.

So go Hawks go!

This series will be over in a blink of an eye. You can expect that we'll roll all over them in the next two games after such a poor effort intensity-wise in Game 3.

^^^the hawks already did more than i expected them to do - they made you guys play 5 games in a series that should have been over in 4

Atlanta wins game 4 by 5 to tie the series.

I changed my mind, let atlanta stretch this series to 7 or even knock them off. Give us time to rest and prepare while Boston is in a battle.

If Joe Johnson can shred the celtics defense like this, what is LeBron going to do?

Okay, well maybe in 2 blinks of an eye. She's all tied up there now.

Yeah my perception of the Celtics is dropping.

If you keep them in a tight game, I could see them tensing up big time. As someone said earlier, they really haven't been tested.

Lebron will carve them up in the 4th if they start hesitating like they did in this last game.

I like our chances now against BOS
