I know its only halftime, but it looks like the Celts will beat Atlanta and advance to the 2nd round.

I did not pay much attention to how me played them in the reg season.

But how do you think we will match up with these guys?

Who will guard the BIG 3?

Do you think Sacha and DJ make their ways back into the rotation?

Match Ups to Watch:

LB vs Pierce

Ben vs KG

Delonte vs Rando


My only fear is who will guard Ray Allen??

Personally I think we have better depth....but we will need to win this on the defensive end.

This series against the Hawks really put a spotlight on their weaknesses in a major way...

Maybe they'll handle us easier than ATL, but I don't think that will be the case after watching this series against ATL..

Obviously, LBJ and the Cavs being a veteran team will not be intimidated by that atmosphere considering the Detroit atmosphere is superior and more intense to this one in Boston...

However, their major weakness is our biggest strength.. I didn't notice this before, but they don't rebound well at all, and are very thin up front... Being able to murder them on the glass, gain extra possessions and having LBJ down the stretch actually makes me way more confident than I probably should be..

And the best part is that LBJ hates Pierce with a passion...And I think we all know what that means..

Reasonable to you, I think it'll be a tad tougher than that. Of course, I didn't even expect us to get this far so. I know that Boston didn't look very convincing at all against Atlanta.

I am really not that afraid of Boston. I don't think that there small centers can guard Z he should go off. No one can guard Lebron, and if Wally and Boobie keep knocking down their shots we got a good chance.

Big Z has always been a problem for us, so if I'm Doc, I'd put Garnett on Z to nulify the height advantage and mix in some Big Baby to try and push him around.

I like our chances. It will be tough beating them without homecourt, I think to win the series we really need to steal game 1.

We just need to keep the games close and put Lebron in a position to do his thing. No one on the Celtics can stop him and if they try doubling like they did on JJ Lebron will pick them apart with passes.

Wally/Delonte/Boobie will be HUGE this series

Evidently, this isn't going to be easy but I have confidence in our team that we are capable of winning it. We need to try to win one on their home court in order to have a better chance to advance. We matched up well with them during the regular season, as the series was split. However, the key is everyone will need to step it up like they did in game 6 against Washington.

The last couple years the Cavs have fallen behind 2-0 to start a series, only to use HC to their advantage, and proceeded to carry that momentum over to a game 5 road victory...

I can envision the same type of scenario playing out...

We can't win in Boston, I don't think we can pull it out.

I think Boston beats us by no less than 30 in each game..

I'm sure THE KING is sitting home right now looking to purchase a plane ticket to Mexico so he can flee the scene before the series starts because he's down right petrified..

I don't think that we will steal Game 1. The Celtics should go into the Garden and handle business as usual after being pushed to a Game 7 by the Hawks. They should come out motivated to answer the pundits. I like the chances of catching them sleeping in Game 2 or riding a wave of emotion following homecourt to steal Game 5 the best.

It should be a great series to be honest.

While I think the Celtics could have definitely played better in Atlanta I don't think it means they suddenly suck.

The Hawks were a horrible matchup as the C's have a much harder time against teams that have a lot of quickness and athleticism. That's why Washington played them so tough during the season.

This should be a fun series which hopefully ends with the C's moving on.

It's going to be really interesting to see how Wally and Delonte do going against their old team.

The C's know their tendencies and habits pretty well as do Wally and Delonte.

While I don't care for Wally I'm happy to see Delonte doing well....he's a good kid.

It would be nice to see the C's move on.. Right on over to their off-season program..

I like KG......but one thing that I cannot freakin stand is the guy never shuts up. Watching the game today....they were up by 40 and the dude trash talks......just play the game KG. One thing I will not be able to put up with is another team running its mouth for an entire series. When your lighting up someone like Zaza Pachulia.....dont talk smack....your supposed to dominate him for crying out loud

C's seem like a pretty good group of guys so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Cassell and KG are the only talkers. Ray/PP/Perk are silent most of the time. Pierce can lose his cool at times.

This will be. Great series. I see Ray and Rondo destroying the slower and defensively challenged Cavs guards. Some want KG on Z but I want him guarding the tin. Keep Perk outside to stay out of foul trouble and push Z around.

Unless Lebron has a monumental series I like the Cs in 6. Just dont think the Cavs are a complete enough team to beat the Cs on the road. The Cs should also mimick the Spurs and clog the lane completely and force Lebron to be a scorer and not a creator. What scares me is Lebron is capable of the monumental for not just a game but a whole series, especially with David Stern patting him on the back each night through the referees.

The fans of a BOSTON CELTICS team (who could potentially play the LAKERS in the finals) with 66 wins, a player in Pierce who does that weak ass head jerking thing when he's barely touched on EVERY SINGLE ONE of his drives, with homecourt advantage---already bringing up referee bias..

Believe me, if there's a team that is going to get the benefit whistle, they won't be wearing Wine and Gold if DAVID STERN has his way...

God i hate boston and their fans. Nothing would make me happier then beating them in their house.
