get the ball out of Paul and Ray's hand

let Rondo, Posey, and KG settle for jump shots

don't worry if KG gets his points, you actually want him to take all the shots.

don't settle for jumpshots, take the ball to the basket everytime, the Celtics foul like crazy

run early and often, push the ball

Celtics are the #1 seed, but i don't think the Cavs should have any problems in this series.

The C's don't foul like crazy; the refs gave the Hawks Games 4 and 6 with over 80 FTs for the Hawks in those two games, including 47 in Game 6! I expect a lot better officiating in this round, and at least with Lebron I can understand if the Cs end up with 10-12 fewer FTAs a game. But 47? Cmon. That's not fouling a lot, that's epically bad officiating.

Thanks Coach! we appreciate your film study and much needed input. By the way, are you and all the other hawk fans joining the team tonight to watch the game?

Drive to the basket. The C's are a great defensive team but they will foul if you can get past them. Their fans will say that the refs screwed them but everyone knows that they have trouble hanging with athletic teams. Exploit Ray Allen on defense and he will get beat everytime. I would expect LBJ to get to the foul line even more than usual this series.

LBJ will be great for you guys as always, but you need one more guy to go off to beat them. Gibson, West, Z and those guys will have to play well offensively or they will key in on Lebron and it will be difficult for him (much like the Spurs did to him in the finals).

Good luck!

Hawks fans have a right to feel good about their team, but don't assume that the Cavs will use the same strategy. Cavs and Hawks are totally different teams. Cavs have more outside threats while the Hawks have more of an inside game.

And the hawks outside of lebron are more athletic than the cavs. But we do have to drive drive drive and drive some more. I hope sasha is capable of playing at least 15 to 20 mins, we could use his defense on either ray or pierce.

Exploiting Ray Allen may be easier said than done with the Cavs. It's one thing when the options for him to defend are Marvin Williams, Josh Smith & Joe Johnson but it's completely different when you can hide him by placing him on Wally Z or Pavlovic.

I do think Lebron is going to give the C's a real hard time and will win a couple of games by himself. I hope a long, physical and entertaining series is in store, emphasis on the long and physical.

i actually fear you guys more than Boston. I picked Cavs in 6. Any Pistons fan who would rather see Lebron James over The Little 3 is just frontin'.

I question whether the Hawks have more of an inside game than the Cavs but that's okay. I will agree that they are not the same however.

They don't...

They have more slashers and active/energy players... But, we have more players that can score on the block...

You think that telling bloggers how to play the Celtics gonna help Cavs?

Cavs 30% shooting and only lost by 4. they stayed in the game because of their 26FTA..... come on, Lebron will be able to get a step on Posey, Paul, and Ray.

Atlanta actually provided the Celtics a wake up call, and taught us how to play in close games, and double down on a wing scorer.

All this knowledge, if anything, was the reason we won last night, so thank you Atlanta.

Truth^^^

I'll take Posey guarding Lebron every game if I'm the cavs. It will be interesting to see how the teams respond to game one. I think the cavs got a boost of confidence in this game. They were in position to win in the last minute with Lebron going 2-18 with 10 TO and were basically a rim-out lay-up from the outcome being a bit different. If boston lets them believe they can win the series as a team, it's over. Ask the pistons.....

the amount of Celtics haters posting in this thread speaks volumes about how scared they were last week.

And probably this week for that matter......
