When does Lebron become a Free Agent
Okay i'm sure i'm off my hinges for asking this but i've become a bit confused....when does he become a free agent?? I've heard so much talk about him possibly jumping ship to the Knicks that I thought it must be soon...but according to talkhoops.net he has a player option for the 2010-2011 season and is locked up until then?? Is that right?

u can bet ur money a couple gm's are thinking save save save for that off-season.
if he jumps ship he'll probly end up worse than what vince carter got from raptors fans.
especially seeing as it's his home town.

I don't think he will look bad at all for leaving his home town. Do you think just because he was born near Cleveland, he owes the city a championship?
The Cavs organization has failed to get real talent around him. He is so good that he led the team by himself to the finals and I think if the game 1 layup went in this year, he would have done it again. It is a shame to see talent like this pulling so hard but coming up so short because the rest of the team is so pathetic (like Garnett on the Timberwolves).
I'm a Rockets fan, but when we are out, I'm 100% a LeBron fan and I would like to see him leave Cleveland for NY if the organization doesn't help him. It would be noble but a crying shame if he wasted his best years just to be loyal to a team(again, like Garnett). If he goes to NY and restores that franchise the way he has restored the Cavs, it will only glorify his image and no one will see any fault in that.
