Honestly...

What are the Cavs willing to give up? What are you willing to give up?

There arent many people I am willing to give up two 1st rders for and there are some I'm willing to give up one 1st rd picks for. Some are just worth expirings or a 2nd rd pick.

My two lists of guys, bigs and smalls, we can possibly obtain(right situation, force trade, opt out) and for the price I am willing to pay(my list decends in the order of my wants):

SF/SG and SG/PG

Andrei Iguodala (S&T +two 1st rders/young player)
Mike Miller (one 1st rder/pavs)
Vince Carter (expirings/youn player/1st rder/ possibly more)
Gilbert Arenas (S&T +two 1st rders/young player)
Corey Maggette (one 1st rder)
Kirk Hinrich (1st rder)
Ron Artest (swap 1st for 2nd+ expirings or take bad contracts)
Stephen Jackson (expirings/2nd)
Josh Howard (1st rd pick)
Baron Davis (S&T + expirings +two 1st rders/young player)
Michael Redd (expirings+1st rd pick)
Jamal Crawford (expirings)

PF and C

Josh Smith (S&T +two 1st rd picks/young player)
Antawn Jamison (S&T + 1st rd pick + 2nd or swap 1st for 2nd/young)
Elton Brand (1st rd pick + expirings for bad contracts)
Chris Kaman (1st rd pick + expirings for bad contracts/possibly 2nd)
Emeka Okafor (S&T +1st rd pick + 2nd rd pick/AV)
Shawn Marion (1st rd pick)
Jermaine Oneal (1st rd pick/expirings/young)
Lamar Odom (1st rd pick + 2nd rd pick)
Andrei Kirilenko (Swap Ben Wallace or AK+pick(s) for expirings)
Zach Randolf (ZBo +pick/young player for expirings or ZBo-Ben Wallace+ swap picks)

I know I may be off on some but that is what I am willing to give up for those players. And those are my lists pretty much. I couldnt remember anybody else, and I didnt do a PG list because I think we need a wing or big before we need a straight PG. What would you offer?

Only person that would be untouchable would be Lebron for me. I'd like to keep Gibson and West, but for the right deal, it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

:-? Aren't you a 76ers fan ??

At anyrate, I would trade anybody besides LBJ to get us a player that can help us win a championship...

It's funny watching Boston and Detroit, and knowing that we're literally just as good as both, but we're missing just one piece..

That said, none of these guys outside of LBJ have any type of sentimental value with me, and are expendable in a heartbeat if it means we'll have a great chance at getting back to the finals with a better cast...

some of the players mentioned on that list we can get possibly together, (ex: maggette and brand, or maggette and kaman)

if i was to trade for mike miller i'd give more only because we could get more (ex: darko, cardinal) for gving them expirings same with redd we could possibly get mo will as well.

other then that any of those players on your list would make the team better and i hope we get one or two of them (one wing one big). but for me everyone besides z, lebron and boobie are tradeable

Yeah, Maggette and Brand for LeBron could work...

Just thinking about it now I would trying to trade the 2009 and/or the 2011 1st rd picks.

That way we keep this years 1st.
2009 1st has little value since it a sure late pick
but the 2011 with every team believing the Cavs are with their backs against the wall and teams trying to get in the Lebron sweepstakes we can try to use it to our advantage and assure them it will be lottery pick if Lebron bolts.

Teams may like that idea. I would definately go after Andre Iguodala or Gilbert Arenas with that idea in mind.

Andy + Wally (huge expiring) + 2009 1st + 2011 1st

What do you think that would realistically have a chance at getting?

Indiana would send us Jermaine Oneal and this year's #2 for that package.

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
