Look, the purpose and intent of the thread was not to initially piss off the Knicks fans... We really have no bone to pick with the Knickerbockers nor their fans... However, a couple seasons ago Knicks fans were all over this board suggesting that we should go after Marbury, Francis etc...

As of late it started up again... Zach Randolph being the main subject of discussion... The "NO KNICKS" thread is something that is used to deflect Knick fans from coming over here and starting up threads about trades that ends up with us taking Zach Randolph, or even worse, Marbury..

Knick fans want cap relief... They know LBJ needs a talent upgrade, and automatically come to the conclusion that this is a perfect trade match.... It's NOT !!!!

I haven't seen the proposals on these boards but I am on the trade board a lot and I've seen no Randolph to Cleveland trade that offered the Knicks any worthwhile cap relief.

That is exactly why this thread has been stickied and why the previous one was stickied as well. There were enough bad Randolph trade suggestions that I was going to track down and restickie the old thread, but was saved the trouble when this new thread was started.

We aren't trading our expiring contracts for knicks with bad contracts, there also is no possible way we are trading for Mebury - "I couldn't have a player like that on my team" - LeBron James.

That doesn't leave much and with what's left, the belief is there are better players available on other teams.

What if we took one of the Knicks players as a last resort this year, either Crawford, Curry or Randolph? If we got one of those guys for nothing it still be an upgrade in talent for us, and worse comes to worse they can come off the bench. Thoughts?

Except for the fact that besides perhaps Marbury, Randolph is the guy we would want the very least from the Knicks.

STFU. theyre just ideas. its not gonna happen. were trying to better our franchise ,even at the cost of other teams if we have to, because frankly, yes, the fans of NY have been waiting that long for something to emerge and even if it means making any thread of trade ideas to make us feel better about the dismantled franchise we were left with, then we'll take it.

LBJ will opt out and look to move into the tri-state area. $100 mill clause from nike. not to mention he's best friends with jay z.

Honestly, the Knicks did nothing to deserve the purgatory they are stuck in. This is a storied franchise with a great basketball tradition in the largest basketball market in the world. It is better to take pity on their desperate fans rather than berate them, like you would a bankrupt businessman that was once rich but is now homeless. But instead of asking for spare change they want the whole mansion, i.e., Lebron James, and instead of incrementally improving their plight they live in a fantasy land.

Sincerely, I hope the Knicks franchise gets back on their feet, just not on our backs by acquiring James.

NYK will always be talked about rather they are bad or good. it is a franchise playing at the greatest arena in the world, and it is in the greatest city in the world. CLE, when bad, no one gives a **** about.
