When I first saw Miami as a potential trading partner I was wondering what could it possibly be on that team that we'd want that we could afford. Well I was right, nobody. Haslem isn't even close to worth a first, to be honest I don't think he's better than Joe Smith. He's a hustle guy and we've already got 2 of those. No way would we give up our pick for him .

I agree, its not a good deal for the Cavs.
How about Marion, Banks and Blount for Big Z, #19 and players with expiring contracts?

We already have a "No Knicks" trade ban, if we keep hearing laughable proposals like the ones offered, we'll soon be adding a "No Heat" ban!!!
For perspective, how about this trade: Dwayne wade and # 52 for Damon Jones and Wally Szczerbiak?

Laughable trade proposals. Cavs fans are known around RealGM as posting laughable trade proposals. The Marion, Banks and Blount trade for Big Z and 19 isn't a terrible trade. Banks and Blount suck but Marion for Big Z is a no brainer and to throw in the 19th pick most likely will not mean much. Once again Marion next to Lebron would be nice for you guys. Big Z is a stiff whose moving less and less, and what player even close to Marion's level are you going to get at 19 unless you happen to be that team that gets that one late first round pick who turns out to be solid?
Don't bring up Wade and #52 for Jones and Wally when Cavs fans have trades similar to this throughout the board. The first trade proposed on this topic isn't the best one though, but it isn't laughable. They would be trading their starting PF and backup PG for your backup PF and backup PG while moving up into the first. Not the best trade but how the heck do you compare that to robbing Wade?

^ I would NOT be using a blanket post that all Cavs fans make laughable trade proposal since the one proposed here doesn't really answer a need. You don't know the CAVs and you are over estimating Haslem's value big time in your appraisal -- I believe any reference to Wade is a joke to show a relation of how valuable the proposal is to the CAVs. You are dissing CAVs fans upon your lack of knowledge of the CAVs situation.

I'll take that blanket post back, you're right. There are a ton of Cavs fans on these boards however, that are just throwing out nonsense and making fun of the cities of other teams. On a lot of the other boards fans of the same teams check each other when someone makes a dumb proposal or whatever. A lot of the time on this Cavs board someone makes a dumb comment or trade idea and no one says anything. This is to you knowledgeable Cavs fans, put the ignorant one's in check because they're making you all look dumb quite frankly.
I'm not overestimating Haslem's value. I didn't say anything about Haslem's ability or even that I like him. I said the Miami fan offered a starting PF which Haslem is, and a backup PG for your backup PF and PG. Where did I say I thought Haslem had great value? And lastly, I actually do know a great deal about the Cavs. My two roomates in college are from Toledo and Cleveland, and we go over the Cavs all of the time.

You can't control the over enthusastic fans who on one hand offer way too much for a player who is 30 ish with a big contract and stats that have leveled off or declining who want to make proposals like the player was still in his glory days of the past. IMO, most new poster sometimes try to fill their teams needs without regards to the team they are proposing a deal with needs and tend to want to give up only what won't hurt as much instead of what would the other team needs and values.
Every team values players differently and Haslem was courted by the CAVs when he was a free agent, but chose to stay in Miami which doesn't mean that he has that much value in the present when the roster configuration is different and he would be guarenteed a starting position. Lastly, the CAVs would not give up a draft pick for Banks bloated contract.

When the hell did this 44taf guy become the forum police? You've been around for what a week or two? Dont tell us to put our guys in check and who to block, especially after you come on here and insult us all... Personally I laugh at almost all of the trade proposals on RealGm, not just what "tons of Cavs fans" are posting (laughable since there's about 10 of us who regularly post). Here's an idea, if you dont like what you are seeing on here then GTFO and stop telling others what trade ideas they can post no matter how unrealistic. There's only one guy Im considering putting on block right now, and it sure isnt any of my fellow Cavs fans.
