Knicks/Cleveland

Post#1 » by Mecca » Tue Jun 10, 2008 10:24 pm

Knicks trade David Lee for Daniel Gibson and 19th pick overall

Knicks need a point guard that can run the floor and Cleveland would love Lee and he is a double double player.
your thoughts........................
Brooklyn Nets
Damian Lillard - Rajon Rondo - Trey Burke
Victor Oladipo - Wes Matthews - Javon Carter
Caris LeVert - Derrick Jones Jr. - Glenn Robinson III
Andre Igoudala - Killian Tillie - Trey Lyles
Joel Embiid - Taj Gibson - Kevon Looney

I would rescind the 'No Knicks' rule for 2 players: David Lee and Jamal Crawford. With that said, that is alot to give up.

Personally, I would pass on that trade but would still like Lee on the Cavs. How about next year's #1 or another trade centered around Varejao to the Knicks?

It seems to me you guys could get a good PG at #6 in the draft? Mayo, Westbrook or Augustin could be available. D'antoni will probably want a PG that can push the ball like Nash.

I like Lee alot but don't like the trade.

I'd give up the #19 but would prefer to dump an expiring (which the Knicks should want to reduce salary anyways)

Knicks insist on a shooter give them Damon Jones

I want to know how he knows this for a fact. lol. and what team would give him their pick in the 7-11 range. The kings used to have interest in him a while ago i think (they pick 12th) but i doubt they give that up for him.

No we don't even have interest in this guy so why we would give up 19th and your trying to deal him not us dealing for him. If you thinks its a fair trade... You're out of you're mind.

Lee may very well be worth a low-lottery pick, although I doubt any team in the lottery would trade their pick for Lee.

Regardless of Lee's value, you under-value Gibson. Although he was drafted in the second round, he too, is worth a high pick.

In the right situation, I may be interested in trading Gibson for Lee. Perhaps something like this:

Daniel Gibson + Wally Szczerbiak + 2009 second round pick

for

David Lee + Zach Randolph + 2008 #6 pick

I would never consider that.

Heck no.

Lee is a good player, but Boobie Gibson and the 19th overall is too much to give up.

NO KNICKS !!!

But I would consider:

Lee + Randolph +#6
for
Snow + Ben + 2009 1st

I wouldnt do that either, I for one dont think any knicks are worth our 1st pick The only value NY has in the trade market whatsoever is there draft picks, I don't even like there young players. Though i'd rather have Lee than anyone in NY it's not worth gibson and its not worth our first pick all i'd be willing to give is sasha or varejao.
