Espn states...

Post#1 » by eyejayem » Wed Jun 25, 2008 5:42 pm

#19, Wally, and Varajao for Jermaino ONeal is on the table. I have to question that but than again I think that we can fill in Varajao's role with the right player.

naw Bucher said it on this live epsn draft special around 1:30, i guess he said we supposedly offered that deal to them. If something like this happens, i guess they are happy with pavs starting at the 2 unless they plan on using their mle on a guy like pietrus or jr smith....

It sounds like recycled crap that was rejected weeks ago.

Toronto wouldn't give up their 17th pick -- why would the CAVs give up their 19th pick to take on so much risk -- Answer -- they wouldn't.

What about the Knick rumor of:

Brian Cardinal and #5 for Malik Rose and David Lee. No pick return or future pick stated.

I think we can do a Anderson Varajao and Chi 2nd rd pick for the #5 and Cardinal.

Why not a AV,#19,Future 2nd,and cash for Brian Cardinal,#5,and #28?

Or even a AV,Joe Smith,#19,Future 2nd,and Cash for Brian Cardinal,Darko Milicic, #5 and #28? We clear all their big contracts and they still get a pick and next year late and a young big that could possibly work out.

#5 could be Brook Lopez(19 yrs old) and future Z and #28 could be Bill Walker who I would like at the 2 in a few years. I'm just draft dreaming guys, dont mind me.

If Ferry trades AV+19th pick for JO+crap filler I will be very disappointed.

Unless he had a 2nd deal lined up that could bring us an upgrade at SG, I think it would be a bad trade.

If he can't find something better than that right now than just hold on to the pick and keep AV until he loses his trade veto rights in Dec..

Let's exhaust our biggest expiring contract, our best trade asset (Varejao) and our pick for an injury prone O'Neal.. Meanwhile Jermaine gets injured two weeks into the season and we are still stuck with Pavs as our SG with no assets to upgrade...sounds like a plan to me.

Thank you Toronto. Jermaine O'Neal has been traded to Toronto for T.J. Ford and the number 17 pick. Im so happy the Cavs arent going to get O'Neal

only way i do it is if we keep our first or do a pick swap. then throw all our expirings at redd or mike miller, and take back a bad contract.

Dwest/ boobie
Redd/ Devin brown.
Lebron/ simmons
JO/ Joe Smith
Big Z/ Ben

solid.

I'm not so sure I'd like to have to deal with a front line of Bosh and O'Neal but then they are both jump shooters. It might not be that bad. Wait a second, Ford doesn't make anything close to how much O'Neal makes. Are they just swallowing all that salary?

Anyone else amused that two of the guys people thought the Cavs might be pursuing (although most of the people on this board were against it because of their injury histories) are traded for each other.
