Alright so i was thinking and i still think MIL might be a good trading partner, except we should target MoWill instead. So here's where i got to

Cha outgoing: felton
Cha incoming: ?

Mil outgoing: MoWill and Charlie V
Mil incoming: Felton and AV

Cle outgoing: AV
Cle incoming: MoWill and Charlie V

Cha would probably like AV for themselves but he can't be traded there. Mil would probably prefer a pass first, lock down defender next to Redd and Jefferson. They also need a PF who is more of a banger. AV might get a chance to start there and they have become a descent team (and with Yi gone) so he might not reject a trade there anymore. Cleveland gets some much needed scoring. I steel need what else Cleveland would give and what Cha would get. (Note: for the people that don't like Charlie V: He provides some much needed scoring from the pf spot.. in the last 10 games, he was 20 pts or over in five of them, he had games of 38 and 32 in the season, so it at least looks like he can score.)

lebron/pavs
charlie v/smith/ hickson
z/wallace

We're still pretty deep, get younger, keep our core guys, and become better offensively.


I wonder if something with smith or pavs would do. And maybe a 2nd rounder if needed? Help me out.. or squash it if needed (hope it's not though).

(Disclaimer: This thread was started because many of the targets we were looking at seem to be unavailable now and i think the next time we could get more players would be at the trade deadline. I think this would be a much better start and upgrade of the team now then trying to do ALL at the deadline. I am still for doing a deal then by dumping one or more of our expirings that we would still have. but adding two pieces now and one (or two) then makes a lot more sense to me then adding none (or one) now and the rest then. I team with more time to mesh and jell would be a lot better in the playoffs.)

Umm, I prefer to have West over Mo Williams..

I also like West a lot. But i think that Mo Will is a better scorer, on any given day he could drop 20-24 points. (Delonte 20+ point games-5, Mo-23; mo also has 6 30+ point games) . I also think that we could keep both delonte and mo will. (Although it may be a bit redundant to have delonte, mo will, and boobie, all undersized combo guards)

Cavs want to use AV to get a better player than Mo or CV.

I think we (as Cavs fans) need to come to reality that AV isn't going to net us a star or super star. He was in discussions for Brandan Wright plus we would have probably had to add our pick. Same with Al Harrington. I think we have overvalued what AV and what our 1st was worth this offseason.

Mo Williams was starting for the Bucks while Delonte wasn't even playing until he got to the Cavs. I can't imagine that you'd use the fact that he didn't have as many 20 pt games as evidence. I'm not really a Mo Williams fan, he's a bit of a chucker (although he does have some scoring ability). Talentwise this deal is way in favor of the Cavs (although I am not much of a Villanueva fan either).

i will give you that delonte wasn't playing but that was because he couldn't separate himself from a bunch of other average pg's... so i guess it works both ways a little.. but i will give you that. Mo does have much more ability on the offensive end though. And if we could hold onto Wally til the deadline and Vince becomes disgruntled (which very well could happen, seeing as he's not getting any older and nj has at least a couple years to go to compete).. a wally for vince or wally + pick for vince if needed would give us a crazy good lineup

I would probably move charlie v to the bench then to give us some more defense in the starting lineup and more offense in the second unit.
