Sorry if this has been posted already, and I'm also sorry because I currently don't have a link. But I saw on the cavs.com board (which had a link, I just can't find the topic anymore) that Wayne Simien will now be playing in the Atlanta Hawks summer league instead of the Cavs. I guess he figured that since the Cavs drafted Hickson and Jackson that they wouldn't have much need for him, and that he likely wouldn't make the roster.
To fill the void in the summer league roster, the Cavs added St. Ed's High School and North Carolina graduate Jawad Williams. Williams was undrafted a couple years ago, and then signed with the Clippers for a bit. I guess the Cavs are all about the Cleveland area guys this summer: Romeo Travis, Dru Joyce, Jawad Williams, and you can even count former Cav Tractor Traylor.
Ugh, I definitely thought Simien could be a 10th-15th guy on our roster, especially if he's healthy now.

No. I don't think no one posted this.
I saw that today and wondered why he made that decision to play of the Atlanta Hawks. I guess he was concerned that the CAVs top pick (Hickson) would get most of the playing time and he wouldn't get a chance to show case his talents with all the scouts for most teams in attendance. To me, Simien backing out shows a little bit of a lack of confidence in his ability verses Hickson and Jackson which is probably makes it better that he went to the Atlanta Hawks summer league team.
It will make it more interesting to see some local guys on the CAVs summer league team.
