Houston beat the Cavs 73-72 on a last second shot by Aaron Brooks.
The Cavs were down double digits heading into the 4th, but went on a 15-0 nothing run to take the lead. JJ Hickson led all scorers with 18 points and 6 boards in 28 minutes, and was especially effective in the second half. After his first two summer league games, Hickson is now averaging 22 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Starters besides Hickson: Clay Tucker (9 points), Mike Green (10), Darnell Jackson (7), and Jawad Williams (9). Romel Beck (8) and Tractor Traylor (5) were the main contributors off the bench.
Donte Green scored 17 points in 33 minutes for Houston, but shot a crappy 4 for 17. Aaron Brooks had 16 and Maarty Leunen had 17 for the Rockets. Joey Dorsey dominated the boards, grabbing 14. But Dorsey also fouled out with 6 turnovers and went 0 for 6 from the line.
